Hello!
Well, Grandad is home and is doing well. I'm finally home too!
Jeremy and Marla's son was born Monday morning! My nephew, John Luke, was 6 lbs and 9.5 ozs and he was 18 inches long. He's super cute and actually looks like Josh (my mom's side of the famiy). Everybody is doing well and I think they'll be home tomorrow.
The weather is beautiful and I had a wonderful walk outside! Hope everyone else is great!

Grandad finally got out of ICU today and into a regular room. The change made him very confused again and I had to tell him over and over that he had surgery on Monday (not 3 weeks ago), that it was him who had the surgery (not my grandma) and that he had to stay in the hospital at least one more night. I think it was finally starting to sink in just before we left. My aunt is staying the night so he doesn't try to escape from the hospital. We're hoping they'll let him come home tomorrow. He does okay during the day, but night time is tough. Kevin is up here now and we're staying with him tomorrow.
Please keep us all in your prayers still, and thanks for remembering us so far. Physically, Grandad is great and he's not talking crazy anymore, just forgetful. Have a great day, and I'll keep you posted.
Smile :)

Grandad's surgery went well. They did three bypasses and everything went as expected. He only needed 2 pints of blood when most need 4 and after the surgery, the doc said his heart looked good. We'll have to see how the next couple of days go as he is in ICU, but we are very thankful and relieved that he is doing so well. It will be a long week as he will be even more confused because of the medicine, but hopefully he'll get back to his normal soon.
Thank you so much for the prayers and keep them up, especially for my dad as he is constantly driving back and forth (about a 2.5 hour trip one way) to check on his parents and taking care of everything. He has a big load to bear right now and he does it willingly and without complaint. He's a wonderful example and I'm so glad he's my dad. It's really hard on him to see his parents get older and sicker. Please pray for his strength.
Grandaddy will be 81 on April 1st and once he recovers, he'll be ready to play with and chase those great-grandbabies that he's been waiting for years to have :)! Thanks again and please, keep up the prayers for all my family. THere's so much going on! More than I have time to write, but God knows all and provides us with all we need.

Hello All!
I just wanted to ask everyone to pray for my family this week. My Grandaddy is having bypass surgery on Monday. He has 5 arteries that are 70% blocked and one is a main arterie. I'm in Frankfort for the week to help my dad take shifts at the hospital and taking my Memaw back and forth from the hospital to home so she can get some rest. My Grandaddy is almost 81 years old and has had a rough year. He is also starting to suffer from alzhiemers which complicates things more. He forgets why he is in the hospital and wants to leave, and he gets very upset when he's told he can't. I would appreciate the prayers!
Have a good week!

Guess where the best place to work during the winter is....... The florist shop! Yep! While I thoroughly enjoy a good snow, I have my fill after you thaw yourself from a 6 incher! So, even though the trees are still bare and naked, the grass is brown and there's not a bright bloom in sight yet... I get to see, smell and work with fresh flowers and green plants 4 days a week! Gotta love it! We've been switching our displays in the shop this week. We're getting rid of the red hearts and pulling the display Easter eggs out of storage. I'll have to post some pics of some of the really cool displays we've been putting together. But we know how great I am at that.....
As many of you probably know, I am getting a nephew and a niece pretty soon. The little guy could be coming anytime, but we're hoping he'll continue to simmer for a few more weeks. Little Ava has a way to go, but she'll be here before we know it. I am very excited to see what they look like and watching them develop their personalities, and teaching them that their Aunt Becca is the coolest ever!!!!
Well I hope all is well, everyone is healthy and that spring comes soon!!!
Smile :)
