2nd Try

I looked at triplex today and made an offer. It’s on 174th and Farmington. Each unit is about 1000 sq foot, with one and half bath. It was built in 2000, pretty new. They are three story units, with garage, dining room, 2 bed rooms. I am offering lower than asking, but I hope they take it. :-)

Two units are in good shape and clean, the third unit needs to be cleaned up some, the rugs are wrecked from cats. If I get the place, the carpet will need to be all ripped up and tossed and the place cleaned some. But no wall damage or major damage, just cat damage. They need painting on the trim also and other minor things. But I should be able to do most of the work.

Lord Willing it will work out. The tenants were nice.

I need to prep for Mathmas :-) Have a good weekend!

Warning! Achtung! Peligroso!

A buddy at work showed me these. www.Engrish.com is a website of photos of really bad English translations. No fakes. I almost hurt myself laughing. :-D

You have been warned……proceed at your own risk. :-) You have to scroll down to see them.

I laughed so hard with this one. Very close, you pull the pin on both of
them!

The problem with too detailed a list is that there are then loop holes. I can
poke, tickle, and prod the animals now

BUT, it unfortunately becomes automatically stationary when placed on surfaces…

No SMILING EITHER!

STOP!

I have been really wanting to go to Engrand. wait...Engrand? :-D

This is Soooo confusing.....Is this for Irish guys only? Do I have to wear a
kilt?

How come I can't buy this in the United States? I want Barf Magic
Brightness... Bummer....

NO Shenanigans either! :-D I had to look this up to see if it was a real
word, it is
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/hullabaloo
Lol. This one was so funny.....

hmm.....Could be a fake? not sure.

Bee puke? Hmm...Oh, honey! Not sure what "Tissue" is.

Word from the wise, Don't ask what the "other stuffs" is.... :-)

I want to buy stuff from these guys.

hmm......I think I will get my hair cut at Hair Woops next time :-)

For serious nail care. lol

Alright that's enough. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. :-D

You can find your own on :

^ oh...sorry, honestly, I didn't even think about superman missing it's u could mean something else, I just saw superman misspelled, the website also listed it as a misspelling of superman in their caption, and with all the other misspelled Chinese clothing on that website, I am pretty sure they didn't mean anything like that, they just didn't know the spelling. But sorry about that in any case.

I will tell you what I told Mrs. Aleta. I have no idea of his intentions. Mine are to first get him to be my brother in Christ. That will make me 10 times happier than him being my boyfriend or something like that. if i can get him to focus on God first, i know he'll be happier.

DVDs

I am looking for DVDs to watch for the young men's class. We watched the Case for Jesus last time. It was pretty good. We watched "Every Young Man's battle" I thought it was very good, I think it was life changing for some. I have the case for Creator, which we will watch soon. But I am looking for more, any suggestions?

I haven't seen Fireproof, anyone out there seen it, would it be good for a discussion with young men? "Expelled" is a good movie, might use that one. I might watch the "I kissed dating goodbye" dvd series too.

I was reminded again today to trust in God. :-) It's a long story, but something I was stressing about at work, seemingly worked itself out. I was foolishly allowing worry and fretting into my life. The instant it did, I felt so foolish, why didnt I just trust in God.

I hope you all are having a good week so far.

p.s. a good exercise routine for all those with little Kids :-)

  • ryan_s
^Those are all their kids :-)

I think Expelled is a good idea.
Fireproof was a good movie, but I don't know about using it for a young men's class. It is about the dynamics of a marriage and it could be hard to fully appreciate unless you are married or in a serious relationship. Not that the point would be totally lost on them, but it just wouldn't have the same impact and you wouldn't have young women in the room to help round out the discussion. There are probably better options. Just my opinion.

  • beavermom
I would recommend "Expelled", but I too, would not recommend "Fireproof". It is geared to married men, and I think all married and engaged couples should see it, but not until then. A little TMI before it's needed. Are there any videos of the Harris boys "Rebolution"?
    by beavermom at 03/04/10 11:51PM
  • robynbobm
I didn't think Fireproof was TMI for teen boys, but I would say watch it yourself and decide. It might be good for them. Harris videos are good. Expelled is good. A fiction book I love is Freckles by Gene Stratton Porter. If a good movie has been made of it, it is a very chivalrous tale.

Library has Fireproof, if you want to screen it.

Seattle

we had a surprise b-day party today for my brother. It was fun. :-) This is my niece Lucy. It took just about 3 hrs to drive there. So I have driven 6 hours already today. lol. now off to eat dinner and then practice my sermon for Otis. I love going to the coast, even in the Winter. Hopefully i will stop by the Dory cove after services for fish and chips and chowder ~ gotta go. have a good Sunday!

that is absolutley what Joshua Harris says. I am trying to finish the book. It's very good and I enjoy the examples of other couples. And you are right, you can't let that one goal be the ONLY goal and get in the way of serving the Lord but it is still a goal we can look for. (did i get that right?)

back

I am glad I am back. :-) Home sweet home.

I got grease all over me in Stockton climbing around, wrecked a pair of pants.

I was delayed about an hour in Denver today, didn't get home until 8 PM.

I had Bread pudding (dessert) in Kansas city, it was good. (at the Marriott).

I went to church Wednesday to the Vivion rd church of Christ. They seemed like nice folks.

This will be a busy weekend. I need to drive to Seattle to see my Bro Saturday morning. Sunday I will be at Otis to preach.

I almost finished my class on Ezekiel for next Wednesday, while on the plane, which I was stressing about getting done.

I need to practice my sermon for Sunday some now. I am hoping to do some on Thursday night, as Friday is the bible class in Vancouver.

Take care!
