Today in Rochelle, IL...

...it hurts to breathe.

Rochelle hit an all time record low of -34 degrees (the previous record was -33 degrees set in 1985).

They had been forecasting a low temperature of only -5 (29 degrees off ain't too bad, right?).

Today's high temperature was -11!

At one point (around 9am this morning) weather.com was reporting a windchill of -52.

And even though it hurt, somehow I still enjoyed it. :)

    It's 77 degrees here! It is absolutely clear and beautiful out. But all the kids were kept home from school today due to predicted 60 mile an hour wind. Yet, the wind is still. Even Josh is off today. Everyone in Hawaii has a gorgeous day off!

    Do you like how the ESV is more willing to utilize the LXX and DSS than the NASB and others? We are studying evidences and I gave a brief overview of the preservation of the OT. I noticed in my preparation that places where the LXX is generally thought to deserve some more credibility (i.e. 1Sam) the ESV was willing to use it! I was excited to see that. For example, it was the only one of the ones used here at Pine City (KJV, NKJV, NASB, NIV) that had the LXX reading of 1Sam 10:1.
