that I do not use this very much. However, I do occasionally check it, so I will reply if you post something...meaningful ;) Kidding!
Anyway...summer has been really long. It took me six weeks to get a job but I finally managed to and worked/will continue working in the future at Babies 'R Us. It's an ok job...definitely better than Fazoli's...and it's a job, so I'm counting my blessings for that. I'll tell you what--it has sure taught me a lot about what I will and will NOT do with my children.
I leave for FC in technically two days (since it's technically Wednesday). Friday morning. I'm going down a week early for one of my classes, so that'll definitely be interesting. I am highly anxious to get down there and get going again. I have missed it a lot. However, I will also miss my family and friends while I'm gone...college is a bittersweet experience, but I am truly blessed by God to have experienced the things I have experienced :) I have learned a lot and am eager to continue learning!
If you're coming to FC, I can't wait to see you soon, Lord willing! If you're not, I can't wait to see you when we meet again! Stay strong in Him.
Love!

7 days until I'm done with classes, 12 days until I'm done with finals, 14 days until I graduate and get my A.A., and 18 days until I'm home. Crazy!

Hi!
Well, life as of right now is just about as good as it's ever been. My classes are...classes. I'm taking 18 hours which, yes, is a lot but it's cool...it hasn't been too overwhelming yet, but then again I'm still trying to find that much sought-after balance. It's coming along. :)
So, the other day in Bible class, my teacher, Mr. Hamilton, pointed out something really interesting, and it's a point I've really been thinking about lately. If you notice, in Luke 1:13 it says: "But the angel said to him, 'Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John." Ok, now look back up at vs. 7: "But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years." If you read further, and as you probably already know, Zacharias did not believe that this could and would actually happen (vs. 18). You're probably wondering what the point is. Well, obviously by this point, Zacharias and Elizabeth had given up on having a baby...they were old, what's the use of hoping and praying any more about it? However, Gabriel still tells Zacharias that his PRAYER has been heard. Point is...this might have been a much delayed answer from God. He wasn't refusing Zacharias and Elizabeth a baby when they had been praying about it when they were younger...He was waiting, and chose to answer their prayer much later. This is something I've really taken to heart and made applicable to my life. So often I pray about things and I just assume that if nothing happens, obviously God had shown me how He answered--by not giving me what I asked for, because clearly He knows best. But maybe He'll answer it days later...months later...years later...It's a pretty cool concept when you think about things that are currently happening in your life and then think back on when you prayed consistently about that kind of thing. Just something I found cool, and I thought I'd share.
Anyway, I'm really excited for Lectures. Like, REALLY excited. I can't even put it into words...my parents are coming, my grandparents are coming, Amanda Hester (yay! she's staying in my room), the Goddards, the Wrights and Alexa, Sarah's sister, the list goes on...I'm so extremely pumped to see everyone! Anyone else coming that I don't know about? ;)
Ok, this is definitely long enough for about another month...haha, I'm really not kidding though. I hope you've been having great days, putting the Lord first and growing more and more each day.
