I am back to...

working a whole 4 hours for this week. I would love to know where the growth in retail sales is happenning. It isn't in our Kohls store.. Our payroll is based on sales and a few other things. I am thinking about looking for another job.

    Hrm. I'm not too sure that retail growth is happening in our area either. Lots of stores closing. But it's been encouraging to see the housing market taking off again here- home prices are going up slightly and there's new construction.

I hope to get some sleep tonight. I have been up at 5 a.m. for 2 mornings. Yesterday I had an early day at work. Today we drove for 4 hours to Charlotte
for Dana to get his band-aid contact out of his eyes. Hopefully, his vision will continue to improve. No one wants a blind referee on their tennis match. :-)

That is what Dana said when I walked into the room after his PRK surgery on his eyes. He hasn't seen this well since 18. The whole process is very interesting.

He has to go back on Thurs. to have the band-aid contacts removed from his eyes. Hopefully, he will be able to drive after that.


I go back to work tomorrow after being off for 3 weeks. I was told the computer was kicking me out of the schedule. :-)

Dog -sitting

I love my children's pets at a distance. I do not want a new pet of my own. I am dog -sitting and cat-sitting this week for Lewis and Erica. The kids had to leave in a hurry on Friday of last week due to Erica's grandfather's health. He died yesterday afternoon. We are waiting to hear when the funeral will be.


Meanwhile, this time has cured me of wanting a pet. The dog is very needy for attention. I feel sorry for her.
