We left S. Fla at 5am this morning and arrived in Wilmington at 7:40 pm. Every Quebec Canadian and person from the Northern coastal states must have decided today was the day to head home and pull your travel trailer or drive your motor home. Some of these people do not know that the left lane is for driving and not putting your brakes on. We finally after 45 minutes in a stop-go traffic jam for 10 miles decided to get off of I-95 in S. Carolina & head for Myrtle Beach on the back roads. Thankfully our friends did not know the back way in to Myrtle.
It is so wonderful to be home!

Oh, this is Gene's pet peeves of pet peeves. His RV revenge is to pass them, get over in front of them and leave the blinker on endlessly. (Honestly, he's never done it, but he'd love to.) Glad you're home safe!

Good news

I received great news from my Mom today. The doctor thought she has scar tissue in her lungs from a previous episode of pneumonia. They will do a CAT scan in 3 months to monitor this. I also talked to my cousin tonight. She is back at home and just very tired from her stay in the hospital. We had a great evening having dinner with friends from South Fla. We will head home on Friday.

Sounds encouraging! Be careful coming home.

Thanks for keeping my Mom and cousin in your prayers! My Mom is feeling better today. My cousin will be put out of ICU and onto a floor as soon as there is a room. My cousin made it thru 9 treatments which was great because most people can only tolerate 6. She has to be on lasics sp? for a few days to loose the water weight she gained due to the interferon. Then she will be released and return in April for her 2nd treatment.

So terrific that your mom is feeling better. Sure hope your cousin does well with the rest of her treatments.

Wow! You have a lot going on with your family. Has anything been determined about your Mom's condition? I would love to write your cousin. I have a real soft spot for anyone with cancer. It's something you can't truly understand until you have it yourself....Let us know about the "grandma" situation!!!!

Please keep my Mom in your prayers.She has been in the hospital for 2 days for tests to determine a heart problem.That was ruled out but they found nodules in her lungs. She goes to the Pulmaologist on Tues. She was released from the hospital today. My cousin is currently taking her drug therapy for Melanoma. So far she has tolerated it well. I am currently in South Fla. It has been stressful for me and I thought I would be flying to Atlanta as soon as I got here but things have worked out. Gotta go!

I'll pray for your mom that they can figure this out. Have a safe trip, whatever you do!

I talked to my Mom today. She is weak and thinks she should be moving faster! I hope she takes it easy but you can not tell your Mom to do things when they know better :-0..Takes one to be one...

I took my Mom home on Wed to Ga, then the next day drove from there to Myrtle Beach to meet Dana. (He and another Christian are playing in a tennis tournament south of Myrtle.) I drove home today. I decided that my new career as a truck driver would not be the one for me. I am beat! On Monday, we will be leaving for Fla and I will not be doing all the driving!
Does anyone have a communion bread recipe that uses other ingredients beside butter, flour and water????
