Oh well !

I attended the line clinic for new tennis officials. I knew immediately that I am not ready to take this on at this time. I have been out of tennis for too long. Dana was hoping that I would jump right in and be able to do it. So, I will give officiating in other capacities a year and try this again next year.

The important thing is you gotta see the ball! :-)

Have a wonderful week!

I soon will be...

completely un-employed. My Alzheimers patient will be placed in a facility soon so my services will not be needed. I also am quitting my Kohls job in a few weeks. I am waiting on
a check from my dental insurance..then I will give notice. I will be going to a tennis officials line clinic next week. So I will see where that takes me.

Have a great week!

I saw my first..

Wheelchair Pro Tennis Tournament. Dana was a chair official at this event. I also did my shadowing and roving to qualify to become an official.

It is good to be back home and sleep in my own bed.

Have a great week!

I am back from...

Savannah, Ga. I didn't mention that I was going there this past week. Dana had another officiating gig at the Savannah Challenger. This was a tennis tournament for the professional men's circuit . I saw so many good young players. It will be interesting to see if they make it to the big leagues in a few years.

Monday April 29th, I will have gum replacement surgery on 3 teeth. Dana will have some new stories to tell on me. I will be put under for 2 1/2 hours, so no telling what
I will be saying when I wake up. :-)

UPDATE: Tues. April 30,2013 Day one after surgery. I feel pretty good. My mouth is sore but I did everything I was suppose to do. Slept a lot and cold ice packs on face and ate a lot of cold soft foods. So off to another tournament we go ..Atlanta Wheelchair Tournament. I will start my shadowing at this tournament. Thanks for all the kind words!

Have a wonderful week!

You have had a busy year with procedures/operations, but it doesn't seem to slow you down!

And here I am dreading a deep cleaning in May. Robin, brace up, your example serves a purpose.

Mark's at a doubles tournament with his high school varsity team today. They have another good team this year. They are something like 14 - 1. Thinking about you as you have your surgery!!

Man, you really have had a lot going on! When your mouth feels better, you should give mom a call- I'm sure she has all kinds of free time right now to catch up! ;)

Here and there

I was happy to go with my husband on a whirlwind tennis officiating trip to Jackson, Mississippi. We broke the 14 hour drive up into 2 days. Stopped to see and spend the night with my Mom in Ga., then drove the next day into Jackson. Unfortunately, our return trip was long and drawn out in one day. We stopped to see friends in Trussville, Ala., spent the night then drove 10 hours the next day.

It is always good to get home and sleep in your own bed!

Have a great week!

BTW, I had my last Levulon treatment yesterday. I am not as red as last time. I am just waiting for the peeling to begin. :-)

Mark is full swing into the spring varsity tennis season at the high school where he teaches. They are 6 and 0 so far. They only lost a couple of seniors last year, so the team is still strong. Pressure is on. He wants to see them win the state championship so bad; but like he keeps saying, "We have to get there first." Sounds like you had a nice trip. I've been thinking that now that the kids are "gone", I might be able to go to some events with him again. But, the doggies aren't gone. He always plays in Wheeling, WV, in the summer. Hannah will probably go with him to that. She's already asking the date. Beth loved going to that one with him, too, but she has other responsibilities now. Hope you heal quickly.
