Well, I took my last final exam this evening and am done with the spring semester. I will be starting my summer class on the 18th so I have a week and a half off to catch up on things around the house. Yippee!
Hopefully everyone is having a nice spring!

I took my mid-terms this week and am so relieved that milestone is over! Not sure how I did but will hopefully know by next week. Now I need to get focused on preparing my lecture in a couple of weeks and several papers to complete.... ah, the fun just never ends! :-) I received the information on courses available for the summer and fall; I'd really like to take a summer course but I'm not sure on that yet. There's so much to do around the house it'd be nice to have a break from school but it'd be nice to keep on going with my education and get that completed... I've got a little time to comtemplate it but registration opens next week (yikes!).
Last week was our college spring break and we took that opportunity to strip the wallpaper border from our living room, paint and lay down our long awaited hardwood floor! We still have the new baseboards to prep and install and need to pick out and put up crown molding... oh, I need to get busy and get the new window treatments made (these bare windows are freaking me out, esp at night - I hate the idea that people can be looking in and watching us!) It is just such a relief to have that nasty carpet that was in the living room GONE! It was stained and smelly and just GROSS and I'm so happy it is no longer in my house! We still need to continue and get the rest of the wood floor down in the foyer and eating area and hopefully we can get that done very soon! Then we have tile to put down in the kitchen, downstairs bath and laundry room... whew, this fun never ends either! :-)
Is it just me, or is there not enough time in the day???

The first five people...
to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. However there are some limitations:
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make. I'll do my best, but there's no accounting for my crazy taste.
2. What I create will be just for you, unless you specify that you want something for a spouse or child in your post.
3. It will be done within a year (might take a while).
4. You have no clue what it is going to be and I'm not going to give you any hints.
5. I reserve the right to do something really crazy or fun.
Here's the catch: if you choose to do this, you must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! When you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog.
Let the challenge begin!

If you saw a man sleeping in a booth in a restaurant with coffee in front of him on the table, and then saw people from a different table posing with the sleeping man (the assumption made that someone is taking pictures with a cell phone but that is an assumption). It also appeared that the manager spoke to the table of posers but that also is unknown but the posing behavior stopped.
What - if anything - is owed to the sleeping man by any observer?
Should he be told what was happening?
Should the table of posers have been spoken to?
Any thoughts?

Took my first exam of my grad school career this evening and aced it - what a relief! I'm taking two classes this semester and tonight's class is Public Management Economics. So far it's dealing heavily with statistics and differential calculus; if I had known that before registering, I would have never selected this as one of my classes to begin grad school! I took statistics almost 20 yrs ago as an undergrad and completely struggled with it back then and planned on never having anything to do with statistics again so it's a bit of a nightmare to have these statistical terms facing me again. At this point, the terms ring a bell but I certainly don't recall the calculations behind them but I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm getting it now... I have to go slow but I'm getting it but I'm very glad to have my first exam successfully behind me! Now I need to focus on my other course - The Public Organization; I'm behind in my reading and have a couple of reaction papers to complete in the next couple of weeks and then I have to lead the lecture on 1 April... I wonder if the professor would appreciate my incorporating April Fool's Day into my lecture...?? Nah, probably not. :-)
Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day and a great new week ahead of them!
