Learn, Do, Teach

A good idea from Sunday's sermon by Jim Ward:

Ezra 7:10 "For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel."

To leave off Learning results in ignorant zeal. (As we see so much of today in the denominational world and elsewhere.)

To leave off doing results in hipocracy.

To leave off teaching dooms the next generation. (And possibly the next, and the next..)

We need to continually examine ourselves to make sure we are learning God's Word, doing what He commands us, and teaching others about Him.

Mike's mom passed away today. I think it was alot sooner than they anticipated, and of course you're never ready even when you try to be. Please pray for Mike, Mary, and their whole family. Mike has younger siblings that are still at home.

Eileen had always reminded me of Grandma Nita. It is very rare to meet women with that kind of devotion to the Lord and their families. I was just thinking about Grandma Nita this morning, as she passed away in November when I was fifteen. We all have alot to learn from women like these. Maybe they can meet in heaven, and wait for us there.

Fair haven of rest for the weary, how beautiful heaven must be!

Beyond the sunset, oh glad reunion!
With our dear loved ones who've gone before.
In that fair homeland, we'll know no parting
Beyond the Sunset forevermore.

:) !!!!

BRYCE comes back tomorrow!!

And also who puts dark eye makeup on their 3 or 4 year old girl? That is seriously wrong, even for halloween. The costume would have been just as good, no, it would have been much better, without it!

I've noticed that I only write on here when I have something, well, nasty to say because I don't want to put it on fb for all the world to see. But that's not very uplifting to you, so I'm writing an uplifting post about some of my most recent blessings.

Thanks to the love and support of these two, I have a fabulous new car! Trust me, you don't know what you've got til it's gone, and going a month without a car really humbled me. We are so blessed with things we don't even think about day to day.
Also, this guy was amazing about driving me around and picking me up and dropping me off, etc., and I still don't think he knows how much I love him for it.

I had a fantastic birthday! My roommates decorated my door, he threw me a party, and all of my bowling green friends were there! You can't beat 5 hours of rock band and an ice cream cake.

I'm going to be home soon. I have no plans but it's driving me crazy that it's been so long so I know I will get down there somehow.

Glad to hear that you've got transportation. I've been without a car before and even though it was only one day I felt totally helpless. A month would've driven *haha! oh the accidental puns!* me crazy. And yay for fantastic birthdays! = D
