So, how did everybody come out? We evacuated to a state park. It was awful on so many levels!!! We did not have water to our RV. Therefore, we had to use a SHOWERHOUSE for showers and restrooms!! If you can remember the smell of the frog that you had to disect in biology..., well the SHOWERHOUSE odor was in that family of odors!! And with 3 kids, you can imagine we had to visit the SHOWERHOUSE several times! Next time, I think I will grab a tube and float on the Kemah Boardwalk!! Just kidding of course, but it was not pleasant. Let me know how everyone came out. We have prayed for everyone with fear and tears!

Just the thought of that smell makes me sick! We had very minor damage to trees, fences and shed. Not a big deal. We are extremely thankful. How is your house?

Some how are house came out scratch free. But we have 4 trees down and ALOT of big tree limbs. We have been working on cleaning it up for 3 days and are still not through. We are very blest.

Vacation Bible School

Does anyone with younger kids want to have a get together one day after VBS? I was thinking about maybe going to Incredible Pizza or just upstairs at the mall. I thought about having a swimming party, but I am afraid of how safe it would be having that many kids in a pool. Just too hard to watch them all. Let me know if anyone is interested. Wednesday is not good for me, but maybe Thursday.

Sounds fun. I think Bill is trying to get us all out together for lunch on Thursday. But nothing has come together yet.

Thanks, yeah we think she is pretty special. :) I know what you mean everyday you love them more and more. It is amazing. :) Not next Sunday but the following one Emma and I will be at Eastside. :)

So, my kids are finally starting public school!! I am so excited. I will have my nails, hair, and toes done on that first day!! Doesn't it figure though!! The year my kids start, they moved the start date back to like the beginning of September. They must of heard the rumor that the Clary twins were starting!! Let me know if anyone has any good plans for the first day of school.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about life flight landing on Tx Avenue today? I saw a helicopter hoovering about where exxon would be, and a friend said they saw at least one life flight landing on Tx Ave. What is going on?

Main Dish: Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti by jenjam 01-29-08 07:42pm EST

I just typed this recipe up for a friend, and thought I would share it. Enjoy!

Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti

16 oz. spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
3 chicken breasts, cooked and diced
1 can Rotel
1 can crm. mushroom soup
1 can crm. chicken soup
1 can green enchilada sauce (I use El Paso brand)
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 14 oz. can chicken broth
1 onion, diced
1 c. water
1 lb. velveeta cheese, cubed
I also sometimes add chopped celery, carrots, and green peppers...but that's only if I have the energy/ingredients.
I dump all the ingredients in my crockpot on Saturday night and stick it in the refrigerator. On Sunday morning I turn the crockpot on low right before we leave for services, and it's hot and ready to eat when we get home. You can also put the ingredients in a casserole dish and top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
