...i was going to use my blog to procrastinate for the paper i have to write... but... i'm not in the mood

my sweet little larry bird died. he left us only two days ago. he was a wonderful bird. i will miss him greatly.

karen wrote this for him:
from his little birdy beak, to his little birdy feet, Larry was a unique bird. for what other bird of little flight can be found to have traveled so much? Larry was a globetrotter. the only bird who traveled regularly from texas to kentucky to virginia without lifting a delicate wing. what a blessing and privilege in his life. and how many birds can be known to survive life-threatening std's? as Chlamydia ravaged his little, feathery body, Larry fought like a true warrior, coming out alive and healthy, and diligently learning from his mistakes of wilder days. yes, Larry was a unique bird. he even seemed human at times, as he remained a faithful and true companion to his survived, randi roberts. Larry was a good listener and singer filling randi's room and our home with sweet melodious tones, making even the coldest of winters feel like the warmest of springs. thank you Larry, for being the 5th roommate in our home, randi's dear feathered friend, and an exemplary member of the bird family, and our family.

good bye Larry. I love you and will miss you so much!

once upon a time, there was a pretty smelly candle named fred. fred smelled like pansies... so naturally all the other candles in wickland made fun of him. on day while coming home from school, fred....

there is a lady at my office who thinks i'm a jew. it's kinda cool. she came in while i was reading esther one day and i guess just assumed... the greatest part about it though is that she's jewish too so she thinks we have a special connection. she came in the other day and was talking about how her daughter's hebrew name meant jesus... "you have to be really careful saying that name around here... i mean... they're everywhere." by "they" i just assumed she meant christians, so i agreed to keep it quiet. not because i'm ashamed but for my own amusement. it's kind of fun to be a jew.

...sad thing now is though that she's in the hospital for kidney failure. my fun is over.
