Seriously, folks, I have two of the most gorgeous girls on God's green Earth. And OMG are they growing! Where did the time go? They were babies just an hour ago. How in the world did they get so big?

Today, we (girls and I) sat down and made a calender of chores for them. Nothing big. They know how to pick up after themselves and all but I thought it was time to put it down on paper. I figure we'll start little then work our way up to more. They were so excited. You know those two goobers fight over who gets to help with the dishes? I'm hoping since it's down on paper things will go easier over who does what. And I'm going to enjoy this interest in cleaning while it lasts. You know, before they find 'better' things to do.

I'm also going to start getting Julianna up early to get her used to the early hours. School is starting in 2 weeks and it's time she got back on the regular sleeping schedule. I've still been strict on it (well rested children are much happier children) but I've let her go to bed later. So, tomorrow, it's back to the 8pm sharp bed time. Then we'll all be getting up at 7am in the morning. Oh, JOY!

Well, it's probably better for me to get up early and act like a normal human being. I hear ya Ang when you talk about a real schedule. Makes life so much easier. Although, I've never been on a schedule, schedule. But that's going to change. I'm going to start scheduling out my days and whipping myself if I don't stick to it. It's going to be easier to lose weight, keep up with the laundry, keep up with the house and keep up with my life if it's all scheduled out. Not that I'm going to be the schedule Nazi or anything like that. But I flourish when I'm in a structured enviroment and so I've decided to created one for myself.

Yes, decided. I have made a decison to no longer be a blob in clothes. I have decided that it's no longer going to be 50/50 on what the house is going to look like should you walk in (although I'm much better than I used to be). I've decided that providing this structure in my life will provide better structure in my girls life and make them happier, more well adjusted kids who have better defined boundries. Aren't decisions great? Don't be afraid to ask how things are going. Whether it be dropping the fat off of my butt or if I'm caught up on my laundry. It'll help keep me accountable.

So, we've taken the plunge and we've switched congregations. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. There are people at Dyer that I truly love and I'm going to miss seeing them as often as I have. However, I think it's the best thing all around for us. When we got to Woodmar last night for evening services, Julianna let out a great shout of joy. She's been there before and she absolutely loves it. There's a lot of children there and she loves being in class with kids other than her cousin and sister. Wed night class was so awesome! Calvin (the preacher and teacher of the Wed night adult class) was just fabulous. He did such an awesome job in really getting into the material. I like brainy stuff that gets the mind going. I was actually thinking about things after I got home. I know that sounds horrible but it's a big difference from what I'm used to. Sunday morning was our last service at Dyer (Matt gave a kick butt sermon. It was titled, "If Satan was a preacher, what would he say? And he quoted ridiculous things that he's heard christians say over the years. It was really good.) and last night was our first service at Woodmar. I have a really good feeling about the whole thing.

So, this weekend was really good. Over the past 10 years, I've basically lost contact with most of my high school friends. The one person I've talked to over this entire time is Nicky. I lost track of Desi for a couple of years, I hadn't really talked to Becky in a good 8 years, Esther was somewhere in bunny land, Kristina was only the BMV knew where and Melinda* was off somewhere we couldn't find her. But since Desi got engaged and started planning this wedding, we've actually been seeing each other and talking. Let me tell you, it's awesome. No one will treat you like an old friend (you know, remind you of the stupid things you did as a kid and whatever else you really want to forget, lol) and I'm really happy that we've found our way back to each other. I saw everybody this weekend (except Melinda) at Desi's house on Fri and Sat. and we had a blast. Desi got out her old year books and her senior memory book and it was a blast from the past.

Ok, I'm done talking about myself. Really, I'm done talking (typing) period. Have a great week everyone! Talk to you later

* Ok, so Melinda isn't technically a high school friend but I met her in college and she became apart of us. So, I include her in my old friends list. And really, Melinda and I have been seeing each other every day since last August (well, until school got out) since our kids go to school together.

My Birthday

I have to say that this has been a pretty good birthday and pretty good year. What better way to start off my birthday with worshiping the Lord. The Lord has blessed me and for that I am thankful.

I pray that the coming year is as good (if not better) than the previous.

Good night and God bless my skater gators.
