I was sitting on my doorstep,
I hung up the phone and it fell out of my hand,
But I knew I had to do it,
And he wouldn't understand,
So hard to see myself without him,
I felt a piece of my heart break,
But when you're standing at a crossroad,
There's a choice you gotta make.
[Chorus:]
I guess it's gonna have to hurt,
I guess I'm gonna have to cry,
And let go of some things I've loved,
To get to the other side,
I guess it's gonna break me down,
Like falling when you try to fly,
It's sad, but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life,
Starts with goodbye.
I know there's a blue horizon,
Somewhere up ahead, just waiting for me,
Getting there means leaving things behind,
Sometimes life's so bitter sweet.
[Chorus:]
I guess it's gonna have to hurt,
I guess I'm gonna have to cry,
And let go of some things I've loved,
To get to the other side,
I guess it's gonna break me down,
Like falling when you try to fly,
It's sad, but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life,
Starts with goodbye.
Time heals,
The wounds that you feel,
Somehow, right now.
[Chorus:]
I guess it's gonna have to hurt,
I guess I'm gonna have to cry,
And let go of some things I've loved,
To get to the other side,
I guess it's gonna break me down,
Like falling when you try to fly,
It's sad, but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life,
Starts with goodbye,
I guess I'm gonna have to cry,
And let go of some things I've loved,
To get to the other side,
Starts with goodbye,
The only way you try to find,
It's sad but, sometimes moving on with the rest of your life,
Starts with goodbye,
Na na na na na na na.

As we go through life there are times of trouble and times when you lose sight of what you are running towards. It's important to remember that although you have so many people around you to rely on for support and encouragement, you are ultimately in this on your own. You can't carry someone with you into Heaven. It takes work on their part to make things right with God. As Don Truex sais, "Only one person can pass through the security gate at the airport at a time." A stretch, yes, but applicable. Don't lose sight of your target. Keep running for it.
Don't give up.
Don't give in.
Fight the good fight.

What is the point of dating? What is the point of going places with someone and "hanging out"? is it all just fun and games? it seems like almost everyone is looking for someone. im not really talking about the world- the world looks for the satisfaction of pleasures. But think about your friends, yourself, and your brothers and sisters all around you. why is anyone dating? ill admit, i used to be a little dating crazy, but the reason was...i was just trying to find MY "prince charming" like it seemed everyone else was. i didnt trust the One who could poaint me towards the one i was looking for. i guess i am writing this out of anger and frustration more than edification, but it can be taken either way. i just dont understand those people who go around and date eveyrone they see. they invest hours and hours into the person they date, giving them a piece of their heart that can never be returned. i just asked a friend of mine, "do you think yall will get married eventually?" (now let me tell you what, i dont just ASK that of any couple who are dating.) these two have been dating for two years. and what was her response?! "No way! i could NEVER see myself marrying him!!" .........??
what is the point?
the point of dating is to find that one person that you are meant to be with. but these days, the term "dating" has taken on a new meaning. "dating" is the status everyone wants. "Dating" is what people do to get a quick pleasure out of something that is so meaningless to them. "Dating" is all just fun and games and a good way to get yourself into serious trouble. Real, true, good dating is simply this: spending time with someone you can see yourself marrying, in order to get to know who they truely are. Has anyone ever considered that it is not up to you who you marry? Did you forget what your purpose is here on earth? We are supposed to be servants. When you were baptized, you gave your life to God! You made a promise to God that you would follow Him and live your life COMPLETELY for Him. When we make this choice, it is our responsibility to make sure we do this. And when we do, God will bless us in SO many ways. Many people think that if they give their life completely to Christ, they are missing out on so much. But you know what the truth is? All of that that you would have experienced is NOTHING compared to the gifts God will give you when you follow Him. God will make sure that the PERFECT person for you comes into your life. God will make sure that that person becomes your best friend. And all this time, because of the choice you made to live for God, you arent focusing on your relationships as physical. or as "i have to figure out how to make them like me so they will ask me out..." thats not the point. the point is to build that relationship upon and around God. With God...you CANT go wrong.
the point of marriage is to be with that one brother or sister in christ that will be there for you, to do EVERYTHING in their power to get yourself, theirself, and your kids to Heaven. so why settle for wasting your time and your heart on people who dont fit your description of your prince charming or your princess? you cant plan your future without God. it just doesnt happen. if you want to be happy...follow Him.

There's some things that I regret,
Some words I wish had gone unsaid,
Some starts,
That had some better endings,
Been some bad times I've been through,
Damage I cannot undo,
Some things,
I wish I could do all all over again,
But it don't really matter,
Life gets that much harder,
It makes you that much stronger,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were,
Lessons learned.
And every tear that had to fall from my eyes,
Everyday I wonder how I get through the night,
Every change, life has thrown me,
I'm thankful, for every break in my heart,
I'm grateful, for everytime,
Some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.
There's mistakes that I have made,
Some chances I just threw away,
Some roads,
I never should've taken,
Been some signs I shouldn't see,
Hearts that I hurt needlessly,
Some roads,
That I wish I could have one more chance to make,
But it don't make no difference,
The past can't be rewritten,
You get the life you're given,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were,
Lessons learned.
And every tear that had to fall from my eyes,
Everyday I wonder how I get through the night,
Every change, life has thrown me,
I'm thankful, for every break in my heart,
I'm grateful, for everytime,
Some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.
And all the things that break you,
All the things that make you strong,
You can't change the past,
Cause it's gone,
And nothing's gotta go,
Because they are gone,
Lessons learned.
And every tear that had to fall from my eyes,
Everyday I wonder how I get through the night,
Every change, life has thrown me,
I'm thankful, for every break in my heart,
I'm grateful, for everytime,
Some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned,
Lessons learned.
