i just filled out a scholarship by using my favorite poem:

The Road Not Taken
By: Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

I have recently realized how many major decisions I am about to make, concerning my life, that will ultimately be the first steps of my whole future. Please pray that I make the right decisions and choices on all of the upcoming challenges life will give me! (:

You already made the most important decision of your life when you committed yourself to serving God! Everything else is far less important than we think it is. :)

    Love you!

Hi Rachel! I just read your post and first of all am still wondering where time has gone for you to be half way through your senior year of high school. What exciting times for you lie ahead. I pray for you and will continue to pray for you that you will walk daily in step with God's teachings and continue to develop your faith in Him. Enjoy these last several months and I'm looking forward to hearing of your future plans. I love you and miss seeing you.

Hi! It was great to see a response from you... I am very impressed with your decisions to continue your education and where you plan on continuing that education ;) Probably the main reason Joel decided on Texas A&M in CS is because of Benchley. It is such a mature decision for you to consider those spiritual aspects before you make your decision.

I'm not the least bit surprised that you hear from Cori from time to time. She is quite the "texter" and loves touching base with those she loves. Ashley and Adam are so very happy in Austin, she is back in school and will finish her degree in nutrition next May. I can't believe it's been 2 years since they married. I miss you all and pray for you often.

BTW I get to see Joel next weekend. Robert is flying to Chiapas Mexico for a week to preach and encourage and be encouraged by the many faithful brethren there. I love visiting CS.

Have fun these last several months of high school, stay kind hearted and true to God and His word. Much love to you Rachel...

its the little things in life...

that make everything possible.

over the past month and a half i have been going everywhere! until yesterday i hadnt spent more than 2 nights in a row in my bed for over a month and a half. wow.

so first i went to dallas, which was great.

then we had vbs and went up to arkansas and i actually enjoyed myself... a lot. it was nice to get away.

after that i rode up with the dunsmore family to the best place near austin to drop hannah off for

junior camp(:

when i was there i got traded off to go with my best friend, carly, and spend the week in san antonio.

we went swimming everyday and got really good tans, but more importantly i got to spend a week with my
best friend who i hadnt seen in a year(:

the following week i went to texas senior camp outside of austin(:

i will say that, despite a few things that were missing, i really enjoyed the people and really stepped out of the

normal thing for me and talked to a lot of people instead of being stuck with my group and i gotta say that it paid off!

and there was absolutely no drama whatsoever. talk about a new record.

and i absolutely loved having noah there, especially cause he was on my team and really dominated! but i am really glad that he went and had such an amazing time and experience. and for the record... he says texas camp is better
than dry creek(:
nuffffff saiiidddd!

then i came home from camp and had 2 days before i packed back up and went to galveston for yearbook camp with

my assistant editor and 1 staff member.

we stayed in and ok condo that had an amazing view of the ocean(:

the classes i went to really helped out and i think will be a benefit for everyone on my staff.

the theme for our yearbook is: pixelate life.

no pixelate isnt a word, but it is now(: haha.. but it basically is this: you know how pictures are made up of pixels, the small things? well thats what we're going for. its the small things that make up our daily life, but sometimes you dont see them, you see the big

picture.
so we are trying to pixelate life and get down to the core of it all.

im really excited (:

the kleinwood singing is friday and i really really hope that i can see some people that i havent

seen in a year!! (you know who you are :)

i hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer. and oh yeah...

i'm a SENiiORRR (:

haha(: if you find this, then i want to know!!
