Wow...

This could take a little getting used to. Different...but cool.

I hate I didn't get to talk to you tonight. But thanks for the hug - I'm always needing those!! Maybe we can catch up at the back to school party. Are you guys going to get to come?

Wow. Dr. Foster... I heard he was a killer. I respect you a whole lot more for surviving. My favorite is the glottal stop... and I just like saying fricative.

it's all online and very easier. i have been told much easier than ASU's class. we'll see. i am looking forward to it. we are in AU right now settling Becca in to her apartment. we had a girl's night out on wednesday and worked on her apartment until 12 midnight. i spent the night with her. i slept in the lounge chair and i will admit I got no sleep. becca slept like a rock. watched "return of the jedi" too. it was fun. she's all moved in. :)

Thank you for thinking of me! We're doing well; just getting more anxious for this baby! I'm SO tired of being preggo, but trying not to dwell on it too much because I don't want it to feel like forever. Hope you're having good start to the year!

Well, funny story actually. Basically we figured out that I could go to UA, like I've always wanted, and save money at the same time but I did have to change my major. Up until last month I was planning on WKU. Now I've decided to major in food & nutrion and become a dietician and get certified in Diabetic Education. I'm much happier with this route so it has really worked out nicely! :)

I know, that's one of the things I didn't like about having a house for sale. But in my last case (auction) I only had to show it once a day or two before the sale, and I was keeping it pretty clean then so it wasn't a big deal - plus it was a man that looked at it so he wouldn't have noticed anything like a woman would. ha ha! Good luck, I hope it sells while you're gone to Disney!

It's May!

I love May.
  • bzyabsma
So do I! I'm also quite partial to June and July, as well as part of August, a day in September, a week in October, a few days in November, a couple of weeks in December, a day or two in January/Feb and that lovely week in March or April. :)

Ha- well, luckily, the cousin who took the Coldplay tickets off my hands was kind enough to get a free cd for me. I shouldn't be too torn up about it- I saw them in KC. I mostly really wanted Linz to see them.

Time

Wow, time is really flying now. I'm so happy that it's warm again, and that daylight comes earlier, and especially that I am not currently dreading having to grade a set of research papers! Banquet is Friday. 9th graders see 3 Musketeers at the Shakespeare Festival next week. 10th graders go to Atlanta the next week. Homespun is the next week. Etc., etc., until finally--graduation day!

Speaking of time passing, I blinked a little while ago and my beautiful, blonde, brown-eyed baby boy turned 15! This just astounds me. I still remember him toddling around beating on pans with a spoon. The day at preschool when they were studying the letter "L", and while everyone else came up with "light" and "lamp", his word was "linoleum"! The morning when he was seven and decided to get up and cook breakfast by himself (cornbread twists!) while we were still asleep. The Garden Party play in which he was a very masculine ladybug. T-ball. Basketball. Soccer. And now, high school.

I pray that we are training him up in the way that he should go, and that when he leaves us all too soon, he'll be prepared for a long, happy, healthy, godly life.
  • malissa
Only you ,mighty word mistress, could raise a child that would pick "linoleum" in preshcool. Savor every minute because life truly flies away.My wonderful, bubbly blond baby girl just turned 21.It seems only yesterday.....

Have you signed up with 'Pleonast 3.0' (aka 'betanast') yet? It's gonna take me forever to move all my links/friends/groups over...ugh! oh well.

Big Hurray!

Beta was great. Our talent was spectacular. Random people kept coming up to me and saying, "You're from Athens Bible? You guys were so awesome!" We definitely had major talent, but lost to showmanship and a Barry Manilow (?) wannabe. We also had two art winners and one social studies winner, so all in all it turned out really well. Also, none of our rooms were on the "troublemakers" list, so yay!

Lol! Sounds fun! Congratulations on the wins!

Oh yeah- the movie is always worth watching. If for no other reason than for the soundtrack. All things (even books) are better with a soundtrack.
