But I see love (I see love) Light of heaven breaking through. Well I see grace (I see grace) I see God's face (I See Gods face) Shining pure and perfect love. When I see you, I see love.
Hello everyone, I hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving! I know I sure did, HAVE to love all that delicious food, the family getting to set down and celebrate the many things we’re all thankful for. I have many things I’m thankful for, and if I were to start now the list would go on and on. I will name just a few though.
GOD
MY FAMILY
MY FRIENDS
A COUPLE SPECIAL FRIENDS : STEPHANIE & MELISSA
WORK
MY ABILITY TO HELP OTHERS (ALTHOUGH SOME DAYS I WONDER IF I EVER
REALLY ACOMPLISH ANYTHING)
MY CHURCH
MY HEALTH (AS I TELL PEOPLE AT WORK, DIABETES IS BAD, BUT IT COULD BE WORSE. I’VE GOT A GREAT FRIEND WHO IS DIABETIC AND HAD CANCER)
THE FACT I CAN SEE AND HEAR
THE FACT CHRIST LOVED ME ENOUGH TO DIE FOR ME
Those are just ten things I am very thankful for, there are many more in that list, but I don’t want to bore you.
I went out with a friend Friday and we took her two children, ages five and seven. Went to Knoxville and say “Enchanted” and I must say for a chick flick, it’s a really good movie! Ha, bet you never thought you would hear a GUY say that huh? ;-) But I liked it because it didn’t have any violence nor did it have any language in the movie either. It’s hard to find a good movie like that, most of the time I check the ratings online if I’m taking my sisters out to the movies with me. I don’t want them to see anything inappropriate on a count of me.
Saturday I went to this little Christmas festival downtown in the town I work in, and a friend of mine tagged along. They had all the antique shops, the restaurants, and other various stores downtown open and gave out free hot chocolate, had a chior and the fire department brought out one of their old fire engines and let the kids on it and play with the Q Siren (air siren). We also went up to the hospital and I went and visited some friends who work nightshift in ICU. I wanted to see if they wanted me to make a “Sonic Run” for them, but they were having a party with all sorts of food. Well after that we went out to Sonic and I dropped her off at her home around 11 pm. I went BACK to the hospital and hung out with them and went and saw a certain patient. She can’t talk cause she’s got a trach tube but I’m getting pretty good at reading lips! :-D Well as I left I gave her a hug and she kissed me on the cheek, and told me “I love you.” That was just so sweet! She’s been in the unit for a while and I doubted for a long time if she ever would leave… I think she just might walk out of there.
But what I learned that night was that this woman has had so much done to her and almost died a few times while in our care, BUT she still has a strong spirit. She still is smiling and God is still taking care of her. People are easy to say “where’s God?” when something bad afflicts them, and if anyone asked me “where’s God?” I would tell them, “He’s back in ICU right now.” People I think seem to “forget” about God until the times they really need him, or they get in back shape and ask “where’s God been all this time?” He’s been right here with you, you just haven’t realized it.
Well take care everyone, and I do hope you do continue to have a blessed week! Be safe and God bless you all!
