Tis hot here in Florida. Depressingly hot, much of the time. My ancestors lived in a much colder climate, and I am thinking I need to head that way. anyways, my job is going pretty well, I am working a lot, but luckily I am having enough time to be with my family, and to get to spend some time with someone special. Mom is doing better, thanks for everyone's prayers. She did her last treatment this past Friday and is doing much better, this week will show how much it has helped her. We are praying that she does not have to have the surgery, because the recovery time for that is a year. I am missing you all! I am looking forward to the fall for all of us to have another great year together, without the trouble of having to meet each other all over again! We must have a Starbucks run as soon as we get back!! I thank God for all my blessings, among them are my wonderful friends.

Oh, I thought that you might like to know that you were right about at least one thing. I did make Alpha Club. So, i give you permission to strut and say "I told you so!" :) Thanks for thinking that I would make it before I even knew I would! have a good night!

Well, working is fun....
Not really, but I cannot complain. Panera is a good place to work and I have been able to get plenty of training. It has also been nice to finally have some time to do some pleasure reading once again, it has been soooooo long... Reading, working, baking (yay for time!), cooking and cleaning and etc. has kept me fairly busy round here.
Two things for everyone to read:
1. If everyone could keep my mother in their prayers. She has a slipped disk in her back, and is in a lot of pain. Hopefully she will not have to have surgery, but it will be a long process regardless. Please remember her.
2. On a lighter note, I would like to share a moment from our Timothy and Titus class this past Sunday. my Uncle was teaching, discussing 1 Tim. 2 where it talks of the adorning of women. He said that while it does talk of women being adorned modestly and properly, this does not mean that they must look just... "BLAH!"
Haha.
I hope everyone is doing well, and if anyone is reading any particularly good books (Sans the Bible, it's the BEST!) Let me know!

I've been all about the pleasure reading this summer (well, when I'm not working my hands dry, anyway). I'll definitely pray for your mom. One of my friends is only 20 and she hurt her back working for UPS. She found out that it is degnerative and not going away, and UPS won't let her file workman's comp or anything. If you could keep that situation in your prayers I would be most appreciative.

My preacher says (and I agree with him) that modesty is an attitude of humility and once you get your attitude where it needs to be, the rest will fall into place. And your uncle is definitely right; looking just "blah" can be just as immodest as it may draw people's attention unduely. :)

Alright, well, I figure it is time for a new post, because we're done!!!! I hope everyone got home (or wherever you went) safely. As for me, I am at home, and working this summer at Panera bread this summer and mostly just enjoying having time to relax. I am missing all of Y'all, but I am glad to have a break. I suppose I should update this seeing as how we are ALL BACK!!!
Its going to be alittle hectic as we press toward the end of the semester, but I urge everyone, in the midst of all the work and stress, to step back and enjoy these last weeks of this school year. We will never get to do them over again, so why not enjoy them to their fullest?
I am not advocating a mass exodus from our normal studious state (wink wink), but seriously, do we look at each day, each class period, as it is passing away with enjoyment? Or, are we jsut checking our phones to see when this class, or event is over with so we can get to the next. "Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink, and enjoy oneself in all one's labors in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward."
