NE Arkansas District Fair
The past couple of days have been very busy in the Harris household as we prepare for our district fair. Photographs have been mounted, artwork has been created, and collections have been gathered. All with the hopes of blue ribbons, or at least not the dreaded "Participation" ribbons!! Teresa spent all day Saturday baking cookies, breads, and cakes. Man the house was smellin' GOOD! Between services today, it was Faith's turn to bake. She is shaping up to be quite the homemaker. Some man will be lucky to get her as his bride. (Potential suitors BEWARE: you must first pass the "Dad Test" and this dad is a former "conceited, self-absorbed, partying idiot" so I know the tricks AND a current gun owner, so I know how to put a stop to them!!)
Tonight after services we have been getting things ready for the Kelsey Wynne Harris Foundation booth at the fair. We are going to sell Kelsey quote shirts and mugs from our booth and get the word out about the Foundation. Even more so, we just hope to share Kelsey's story with others in the hopes that they will be as inspired by her as we are. The Fair Board expects 50,000 people to attend the fair this week. We are excited, but we really don't know how people will respond to the t-shirt sales.
Next week is the HS Campout at Shakamak, and the week after that Simon David and I fly off to Europe! The crazy busyness continues!!!

Wishing you well on all the fair endeavors and especially on your trip to Europe.
I remember Kelsey (and your family) as I drink my morning coffee from my Kelsey mug.
Hope the Kelsey Booth goes wonderful! Good Luck! :)
Tomorrow is twin day at school and I am going to borrow ethan's Kelsey shirt and my friend and I are going to wear them! I am excited!! :)
It wasn't until later that I remember that I had two myself. Whenever I wear them, a lot of people read it, and ask about it. I even did a presentation about my hero, and mine was Kelsey and I wrote about her quote. Next time I wore the shirt, people asked if the was my best friends quote. I smiled and say yes!
I agree with you on that matter. :)
