So, I know that I never post on this website anymore, and that many of you probably haven't heard from me in a while, but I figured I'd make this announcement on here at the request of my brother.

I asked Emily Ruth Hall if she would marry me, and for some reason she said, "Yes." I don't know why she would do such a crazy thing like that, but I don't plan on asking twice. The ring is still in the works (for all of you girls out there), but we're setting the date around late May/early June of 2009.

It's like I'm living a dream. Please pray for us during the upcoming months, and may God continue to bless you all.

It's been a long time since I've actually posted something. So, here goes...

Over the past couple of months- I think that's how long it's been- I have completed my first semester at the University of Alabama (not the 4.0 that I wanted, but 3.905 is okay- stupid physics), finally been on the Deja Vu at Six Flags over Georgia, realized why mowing drove me toward the education path, further understood why I despise the Pirates of the Caribbean movies-outside of the first one, which wasn't as bad-, become a cashier at Southern Family Market in Madison, and started my summer class- CH 112- at Calhoun.

I realize that what I just typed was an incredibly horrible combination of fragmented sentences, but I'm all but done with my English classes, so it only bothers me on an aesthetic level. Anyshways, I've gotten resettled in Huntsville. It's good to see my family and all the friends that I had left here, and the whole thing about missing homecooking when you leave for college is most definitely true- it's great to not have to miss it anymore. Another great benefit of returning home other than being able to more adequately save my money and build up my meager bank account is that I get to spend a little bit more time around my longsuffering (emphasis on suffering) girlfriend, Emily. In summation, life is going pretty good right now, and I praise the Lord because He continues to bless me in spite of me.

I really don't have too much more to say, so I'll leave you with a long "Perry-esque" list.

So, it's been a while since I've actually made a real update. And now that I actually have a little bit of time and not much else to do, I think that I'll do that...

Life has been life. The sun rises, the sun sets, the temperature rises and falls crazy fast, and no snow decides to fall in a viewable amount. Things have been going pretty well though. Outside of my physics class, the grades for my first tests have been coming back at a satisfactory level. Not as good as I would prefer, but better than I figured I would get for the time that I put in to test preparation. That doesn't mean that I've been slacking either- I'm quite sure that this semester has been quite possibly the busiest that I've been while in college. Yes, I realize that it's been an incredibly long time, but seventeen hours is like five more hours than twelve- and none of you will understand that joke. Trust me, I do realize what I was saying...

This girl has decided to stick with me for some reason. I'm not sure yet whether it's my stunning good looks or my incredible sense of humor. Or maybe my sophisticated nature. But it seems to be that I can't find anything that'll push her away. It's pretty impressive on her part:) By the way, if any of you guys- or girls- out there can think of some ideas that I haven't tried to push her away, send them my way;)

Besides that, not too much has been going on. I've been constantly discovering bands that are new to me and I enjoy quite a bit. SIRIUS radio and Napster make everything quite a bit easier. And yes, that was shameless advertisement.

A couple of more things that I just thought of, and then I'm out: my roommate, I, and some guys from church got together and cooked breakfast this morning. Granted, we didn't eat it until around noon, but I'd say it was quite the menu for a couple of college guys: pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, muffins, biscuits, and assorted breakfast drinks. Not a bad line up I'd say. Plus, the pancake chef was quite the expert...

Next, one of the worst and best- yes, at the same time- movies that I've ever seen I watched again last night. For those that have seen the movie, Wadata! Also, I'm returning to my former glory in ping pong. All challegers are welcome, as long as they foot the bill for the table, the paddles, and the balls:)

Lastly, how many of you have heard about the former NBA player that came out of the closet? Have you also heard about Tim Hardaway's response and subsequent public rebuke? It's all quite sickening. It actually makes me think of the passage over in 2 Timothy 4:3. People will believe what they want to believe about homosexuality, and get people to teach them the same thing so that they feel good about themself. It's pretty sad.
