Saturday

School shopping-- done. Wow, with TQP in middle school, he sure needed a lot more stuff! NRP got dividers and real notebook paper-- so cool. CIP is one cool kid with dry erase markers and colored pencils! Plus, we love Office Max for sending us coupons. The two younger boys got their postcards from their teachers on Friday, and they are now so very excited. So is Momma, to say the least!

Just helped my dearest replace the lower weather stripping on the garage doors, because the old one was obviously no longer useful, as evidenced by the giant puddle of water under the golf cart charger.

Work Thursday and Friday was continued craziness. On Wednesday there was only one baby, and when Friday dawned we were up to ten. Friday included three circs, two admissions, four discharges, and no lunch. It was blissful to wake up to my own little world this morning, surrounded by people that love me regardless of my nursing skills. ;o)

Another little perk on this tax-free weekend: 200 sheets of pretty girly scrapbooking paper for $7. Yee-Haw. By the way, if you didn't know, no tax is weighed on ladies' undergarments in Georgia this weekend, either.

I am looking so forward to tomorrow; I love that we have a local family of believers with whom we can gather and collectively worship God. What a blessing it is to so freely be able to share one's faith and worship with so many others who feel the same. Thank you, Lord, for your grace and providence.

Good thoughts. Was everything tax free? Well, within reason, I mean. A very tempting day for craft shopping, I'm sure! Wish we could do without tax for a couple of days. Ours is 19%!

We braved the crowd a little bit on Saturday, even though we didn't need any school supplies. I managed to pick up three GT t-shirts for $20, so now I can help support hubby's alma mater. His new job is from a company called Alum-A-Lift in Winston.

Jason IM'd me the cost of the boys' school supplies -- call me tomorrow if you're not working. Don't know what I'll be doing... but it's 08/08/08 --- isn't that just the neatest, once in a lifetime thing!
