I have to say that I initially mocked at the news saying how bad the economy was and is. I have begun re-evaluating my thinking on that now. I have seen too many truly sad stories of people being laid off and losing their homes. Do I wish I was a millionaire so that I could help my church friends who are in need, of course, but that will probably never happen.

I began thinking about how I may be able to help people though. In these tough times, every penny really does count. For those of you who do not know, I work for a State Farm agent and we are pretty competitive with insurance rates right now (specifically auto insurance). If you are looking for a way to save some money, and you do not have State Farm insurance yet, let me know if you would like a quote to see if we can save some money fr your family. It would be a great honor trying to help any of you out there.

It sure is rough out there right now. :o) Maybe it is what we needed as a nation to remind us that we aren't in control, and that we need God in so many ways. As Christians, maybe it helps us refocus on our spiritual purpose instead of our carnal pursuits?

So my boss just texted me and said that it was probably a good day for me to stay home and study. Which means that...
A. I don't have to go to work today
B. I get to view this beautiful display of God from my own home windows.
C. I get to catch up on studying for my Life and Health Insurance test that is scheduled for Saturday. I have been procrastinating so badly and having today off will help me greatly.

So I am sitting here as breakfast is cooking. I wanted to let everyone know that we miss you all. This week of weather has been an experience for sure. We purchased grape juice in anticipation of services being cancelled and we will be making unleavened bread soon too. We miss worshiping with you guys. If you guys need to drive, please be so safe.
