christmas break

My christmas break has been very lovely.

I went to Cincinatti with Tony(the boyfriend) and his family.. to see his sister, her husband, and her two adorable daughters(Emily is almost 2 and Erin is just an infant).

I did shopping on the way there and on the way back we stopped at "The Beach" waterpark to take advantage of their Holiday ice skating, carriage ride, paddle boating, sledding down a dry waterslide, and animal petting that they have for the Holidays.
It was so fun.

I got very spoiled this Christmas.. too many presents too mention, but a few of my favorite presents were: A pink computer chair from Tony, Disney Pictionary also from Tony, A shiatsu back massage chair add-on thing from my grandparents, a GPS system also from my grandparents, and not to mention the plane tickets to Florida, Disney World Tickets, and Universal Tickets from my father..... I am extremely grateful and i'll just stop at that cause I got way too much. As for the gifts I got other people- that is another long and complicated list- lots of loving family members to buy for.......and besides the gifts aren't everything.
It was just great to be home with my family and I've had a great time.

My plane leaves for Florida from Pittsburgh on New Years day at 7:30am...yes that's AM!!.. so I'm thinking I might as well not even go to sleep on New Year's Eve. My sister and I are going to have to leave at like 5 in the morning- and I know we're going to be fighting over who has to drive..haha

Well this is all for my holiday entry.

I hope everyone else is having as good of break as I am.

I haven't posted in so long.

So here is an update on my life:
Fairmont has been good.

I'm never here on the weekend. I find someway to get home,my sister's..etc.

I still don't have a car, but that might change next semester because my grades have been good (i'll brag on myself a little).

The America Reads thing just ended and I absolutely loved it.
I became quite attached to about 10 6-yr-olds.

I'm taking 19 hours next semester and possibly getting a part-time job- wish me luck

I put in an application to this cute 50s style restaurant called "Poky Dot" and plan on filling out applications at a few other places(I need the car first)

I spend most of my time with these 2 girls who live on the same floor as me- their names are Brittany and Becca and they're super cool people.

My Thanksgiving break begins TOMORROW!

I'm going to aunt's in Columbus tomorrow(to spend the weekend) after I take a math test and sit through yet another boring art appreciation lecture.

I'm flying to Florida on January 1st and staying until the 8th(my daddy lives near Orlando).. hopefully WVU we'll get in the Orange Bowl- that would be o-so-convenient

Miko is still alive! and sits on my desk

When I get back from Thanksgiving Break, I'll have 2 more weeks of classes and a week of finals then my 1st semester of college will officially be over- so wish me luck on the finals- i'm already stressing

Oh yea- I took thee PPST- which is basically just a stupid test you have to take and pass in order to apply to the education program- well I PASSED and filled out my application- woohoo.

I also got an application to be in Kappa Delta Pi- which is and Education Honor Society - look it up- it's pretty much a big deal and for a freshman to receive an application to be in it is also a big deal....I will wait to get inducted in the big induction ceremony next fall, but i'm super happy cause it's definite bonus points in any resume/portfolio

PS. I'm learning there is sooooo much stuff to do besides just go to school for 4 years before becoming a teacher:
**First I had to get accepted into the education program which means I had to have certain scores on the ACT PPST, a certain gpa, get approved by my adviser/a committee and a bunch of other stuff
**Besides the PPST, there are 2 other tests I'm going to have to take
**I have to maintain a 3.0 in all my education classes and 2.75 overall
**I have to put together a portfolio in a 2 in. binder full of all sorts of stuff- but I won't get into that.

So I all of a sudden have such a great respect for all you teachers out there cause it really isn't the simple, easy task I thought it would be

so i'm in college now- woohoo
It's really not all that i thought it would be.
I don't know very many people yet and school is harder.
I'm majoring in Elementary Ed.
I start this America Reads program in a few weeks- i read/do a lesson with kiddos at the elementary school:)- i'm excited for it.

everything else is boring and i don't have a car so i'm stuck on campus until i talk someone into taking me home

My dorm room is super tiny- (i have a single room and 2 suitemates)but i decorated it in pink and black

I like fairmont for the most part- i just need to meet some more people

I went to cincinnati zoo and Kings Island.
It was a wicked sweet time.
I leave for college next friday.
I decided not to do volleyball because i didn't feel like working forever hard and not playing.
I told the coach this 3 days before first practice.
o well- i'm sure he didn't want me in the way anyway

ps. i'm getting fat- i can't wait to start gymning it up on a regular basis

Seriously....you can't possibly be getting fat....get back to me after you've had three kids and then maybe we can discuss what fat looks like!!!!!!!!!!! hehehehehe just kidding around Love ya...
