Hello...
The update on J is that he is alive and doing well. Thanx for all your prayers! They gave him a z-pack and that helped him sooooo much! They said it was something going around. He was very sick and away from home...have to share the bathroom with 3 others at school, not able to hop up and go to a kitchen, etc. for water. Rene helped a lot and so did his friends!!! It is now February...looking forward to Valentine's! I'm wearing red or pink all week as a reminder that the big day is coming! Gotta go and until later...xoxo

Hello all,
As most of you know, my oldest #1 son has made it safely to FC. Now he's very sick. He went to the infirmary today...they told him to go see a doc/nurse prac. He went to the nurse prac...they said he doesn't have strep (good) but gave him a zpac (I think that is what it is). Anyway, he's in a dorm room with guys...he has a cup, but doesn't feel like drinking...all he wants to do is sleep. Please pray that he gets well soon and is feeling much better. This fall he got mono and now this. Please pray that he does not relapse. We are all soooo proud that he finished high school a semester early and that he is spreading his wings at FC. We know he's working hard there. Please pray that the Lord will watch over him, make him well, and refresh him.

Hello! It is back to school for a lot of us...I work at one and many of you reading this are students. I came across a Psalm 23 for the work place, but I tweaked it for "school". Have you ever "not fit in"? It doesn't feel good, does it? This not only applies to school, but anywhere you go, even church. There are some people who never acknowledge your existence. They do not speak to you, or invite you to be with them. Kids make excuses in their minds that "they're just kidding"...yet the only time they speak to you is when they are "just kidding". In other words, the only time they speak to you is when they are slamming you... "just kidding". Oh, yeah; and there are the moments when they are nice...real nice to you...when their teachers are around, or their parents. It could be that they are in a different grade, yet they are selective, friends with, and civil to some others who are younger, just not you. They don't come out and say you don't wear the right clothes, you have acne, your house/hairstyle/car/ aren't right, but they make you feel it. Please, as the new year begins, remember who you are. Remember we are different from the world. When you are at school or church or at the mall or at camp or whereever, honor God with loving words for all others...not just a selective few. Anyway, here is Psalm 23 for school...
The Lord is my real teacher, He teaches me everything I need.
He gives me peace, when chaos & unfriendliness is all around me.
He gently reminds me to do all things w/out whining & complaining.
He reminds me that He is the source of life and not school.
He restores my sanity everyday and guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all I do.
Even though I face absurd amounts of homework, stupid schedules, unreal deadlines, gossips, anti-Christian morals, and an uncoordinated body, I will keep my chin up-for He is with me.
His presence, peace, & power will see me through.
He raises me up, even when others are "just kidding" or totally ignoring me.
He claims me as His own, even when others ignore me.
His faithfulness & love is better than any grade(group).
I'll remember His cup is full for me & overflowing.
Because the world is so hard, surely my friends at church, that I've known forever will be on my side; they will share their love & care w/ me and that will help me to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
I'm counting my blessings...for Christmas I got new tennis shoes, a photo album (I'm already done w/ it...173 pictures journaled w/ some of your lovely faces featured in it!), purse calendar, wall calendar, more scrapbooking papers, and more!
As Tiny Tim said, "God Bless Us Everyone!"
