thinking snow
so, i agree completely with lewis black: meteorologist means liar in english. they told us six to ten inches...and we got twenty-one. somebody needs to come to my math tutoring.
j has a job! he is working for the same school that i do. currently, he is a substitute, but he is scheduled to have a meeting on Friday to become full-time. thank you to everyone who has been praying for us - the Lord has seen us through and brought us to such a blessed place. i cannot thank Him enough for His care.
been traveling quite a bit still. i went on a trip to philly/harrisburg last month and will go on another one next week. in march, i have one overnight trip. i will be in philly for several days in april...but j should get to come on that trip, so i am looking forward to it. we'll have to work during the day, but in the evenings we can go site-seeing, relax in our hotel room, and enjoy the "vacation." truthfully, i enjoy the travel...though it can make me homesick at times.
tomorrow's a snow day! being a cyber school, we still have to work, but it gets to be from home - specifically with me in my PJ's on the couch, propped up by my pillows and covered by my favorite quilt, cup of cocoa in hand. definitely a good way to spend a work day. :)
filed our taxes today. i hate doing that. the older i get, the more i find myself agreeing with my uber-conservative husband (which i hate to admit...but he seems more right about our government and such as time goes by). it just seems wrong that the government gets to take some of the money i earn before i even get to touch it, and then they ask for more of it when the year is over. reminds me of the playground bully - already took your lunch and now coming after your toys too.
well, it is way past my bedtime, as is evident by my random train of thought. how about you? any random thoughts? penny for them, as always. :)

You know, I feel a little differently about my taxes- I feel like I don't pay enough. But that's the whole child tax credit thing- it's nice for us personally to get such a huge break, but at the same time the very fact that we have children means that we use more government services so it's not really fair that we pay less taxes.
