Let me first state that the first day of my second semester went exponentially better than the first day of my first semester. I actually woke up EARLY, had time to take a shower, brushed my teeth with TOOTHPASTE and even got to eat breakfast. And I did all of this in time to catch the transit so I didn't have to fight people in traffic and circle the parking lot like a vulture looking for lunch. It was a good morning :)

My classes so far look great.
10-10:50 MW, 9-9:50 F Psychology (with a really cool teacher and book...haha)
11-11:50 MWF Organismal Biology (another cool and really young teacher)
12-12:50 MWF World History II (The same Russian man I had last semester)

Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Music Appreciation, Chemistry, with a Biology Lab on Tuesdays and a Chem lab on Thursdays.

AND I get to leave at 1:00 on Fridays :) YES.

I also found out today that I FINALLY get a roommate for next fall! A year of living by myself was nice but I'm definitely getting a little lonely so I'm ready to have an awesome girl live with me!

THEN I got to go to church and that was wonderful too. We're studying the Holy Spirit on Wednesday nights and we have a great teacher. I love leaving a church service feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, even if the lessons/sermons weren't designed for a warm fuzzy feeling. The way I see it, any way you look at God and the plan He's set up for us, you cant help but leave with a warm feeling inside.

It's just been a great day :)

Public Speaking and Biology on Friday
Chemistry on Tuesday

I've decided that I'm going to make a home for myself in the library. Any housewarming presents including coffee and food would be appreciated.

Upside? I'm done with this semester (and my HORRIBLE chemistry teacher) in a week and then Santa comes :)

    aww poor baby! :( it'll all be over before you know it though! :) i had a final today, one tomorrow, one thursday, AND one friday, so huntsville will be looking like heaven on earth come friday. but once it's all said and done...just think! we'll have a semester of college behind us. that's pretty crazy, right?! i feel all grown up...haha. good luck with those nasty finals and i can't wait to see your lovely face. :)

    Ha, weeeell, ok. Here's the deal. It was broken once before. I rolled it down and it wouldn't come back up. So we had it "fixed", but it was still slow going and made creaky noises. All he did was barely roll it down...and it wouldn't go back up. So, really, it would've needed "fixing" again, eventually. He just hurried the process.

They fired Coach Tuberville after his only bad season in an entire decade? I'm embarrassed by my University. Besides the fact that the athletic department forgot what the term "loyalty" means, they're supposedly paying him a $6 million buyout package. That's SIX MILLION DOLLARS! Guess when his contract would expire. NEXT SEASON. Ridiculous. Absolutely Ridiculous.

Like I said, I'm sorely embarrassed by the actions of my University and I for one wouldn't mind a new athletic director.

EDIT: Excuse me, it was only $5.1 million. That's much better than what I thought originally (that was intended to be dripping in sarcasm.)

    I understood he resigned...and since you're so embarrassed by Auburn, maybe you should just come on over and go to school in Tuscaloosa; I hear there's an awesome university named for our great state there, and it just happens to have the #1 ranked football team in the SEC this year! (you know I am only kidding...except that I do bleed Crimson, so I have to give them a shameless plug). Really, that is a pretty tacky thing for them to do to Tuberville, if he was in fact fired. Poor guy, I don't know how he'll make it on that kind of salary.

    The only problem with your suggestion is that Alabama did the same thing to their coaches a few years ago if I'm not mistaken ;) And Meredith is absolutely right. I personally think it was a way for Tuberville to save face and Jay Jacobs to still look like an ok guy. I dont buy it at all. Nevermind the fact that our tuition is continually going up, but the athletic department "wont limit" the cost of a new coach (or the amount of money they're still paying coaches they fired). Its disgusting.

    They were saying on tv that people are attributing both Tuberville and Fulmer's "retirement" to Nick Saban. Ridiculous! A coach has to work with what he's got; maybe Tuberville just didn't have the team this year.

    Huh? Nick Saban had nothing to do with it...I dont know how he could. He coaches a team that beat both Auburn and Tennessee but Nick Saban himself spoke to the media about how pathetic it is that these Universities are firing coaches the way they are. Either way, you're right, Tuberville had a rebuilding year and a not so great coaching staff. The combination of the two was no good... ha
