There is so much to pray for. Right now our country seems to be crying out for prayer. The economy and the election remind us that times are hard. We need to pray. But the need has always been there. I received an e-mail this morning from a good friend, Beverly Atkins. Her husband, Tim, has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer. Tim and Bev moved from Arkansas to Hawaii a few years ago. As beautiful as their surroundings are, life still goes on and bad things still happen. They need prayer. I've always contended, though, that we mustn't forget those who are lost when we pray. Their situation is so much more tenuous. Their need is immediate. Pray daily for them. And, of course, we must pray for our own strength to help ourselves and all those in need. Help us, Lord.

It's a cool and rainy Saturday morning, so what better way to spend your time than to take a political quiz. OK lots of better ways, but my husband sent me a link to a quiz and in a few minutes I found out I'm for McCain. It's kind of fun. I've placed it under my links (it's all that's there, because I just figured that out.) Try it. It's fun. By the way, I'm ALL THE WAY for McCain. I answered every question in his favor.
The VP debate was interesting. I thought Sarah did very well.
I've said about all I know about politics. Glad I was able to help.

I will be crowned. That equals a Christmas present (at least) in value. Oh well. Eating is important. Actually, my tooth hurts less now than it did before. The dentist said that it was probably cracked, and the movement around the crack was what I've been feeling lately.
In other news...I have no other news. May paint laundry room. Weather is nice. Lost a couple of pounds. Are you yawning yet?

I've had a couple of fun trips lately. I went to Searcy to see my nephew get married, then two weeks later went to Kansas to a reception held for him and his bride. Go to
her blog to see pictures of the Kansas event. Family times are always fun. My only downfall is the food. I tend to excuse myself on these occasions to eat as I please. Now I must pay. Oh well.
Today I broke a tooth. I'm not eating much until Thursday when I go to the dentist!!

I haven't been on Pleo much lately, because I've been preoccupied. I have a new hand-me-down Iphone. When my husband upgrades, I get the leftovers! And I'm having a great time. In fact, this entry is via the phone! The principal at one of my schools was so impressed, she ran out and bought one, too. Ahh, the life of a nerd.

I remember Beverly & Tim, but did not know they had moved to Hawaii. We will keep them in our prayers.
I echo your call for prayer. Always in need, but especially now.
Happy Birthday
