Pleonast?

I forgot it was still here haha. Nothing real new, just working and going to school. December 1st, 2009 I bought an '04 F-150. It definately doesn't drive like a 280 hp, 300+ torque Camaro, but it's reliable, useful, and I love my truck. It got dented on my side pretty good by a parent of a daughter trying to pull an illegal u-turn. She of course thought it was my fault for being the kid. After the cop showed up (and did NOT give her a ticket), I was told it wasn't my fault and I was good to leave. I stayed there a few minutes longer watching the woman and the cop (about the same age) laugh and talk, then he told her she could leave. Justice at its finest, right? Anyway, her insurance paid for it all but still... Not a super fun day. This news is a few weeks old, but its the only exciting news I've got haha. My truck is all fixed now and back in the driveway. Anyway, I'm going to try and get a little bit more sleep tonight, I might post a little sooner next time haha.

Thanks! I'm thankful for carfax... It saved me from buying a car that actually had 100,000 more miles than the seller said.

Life.

Started working a couple weeks ago at the Hunter's Crossing Publix, and it's going well I think. I'm amazed at how many people use the "green bags."

I'm also attempting to sell the Camaro. It has too many things I keep finding wrong and its not a good daily driver. I'll probably get flack for selling it, but its been a helpful experience on what to look for on a car. If the ad description says "I rebuilt..." just leave it. V8 and stick shift are still both going to be in my list for the next car, (even though the Camaro isn't a stick) but reliabilty is number one this time.

Other than that, just keeping up with the usual. I have the PSAT (practice) tomorrow and I'm not working for the rest of the week. Lately I've been catching up on NCIS, and I know what everyone is raving about now haha. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

I'm assuming you're a bagger at Publix, which means I'll have to pay you a little visit and make you load my groceries into my car! Or I can leave my cart out in the parking lot like I do to Margie and make her bring it in! I've been meaning to watch NCIS. I hear it's really good!

Thats a good publix...busy enough to make the time go by fast.

Make sure you dont put pesicides in the same bag as say meats...and make sure you always offer to take the customers groceries out...and make sure you call me if you need any further advice.

Hmmmm. Worth coming a little further to have you bag up my groceries. And the green bags (I actually prefer the black "green" bags) are so awesome. They hold a ton of stuff! Good luck with the car situation.

I had three years with Publix in both store and warehouse. Don't know how the warehouse is now but we had a hot lunch provided every day along with coffee and ice cream on the breaks.

Pat loves NCIS or maybe its Mark Harmon.

As for cars, Pat used to have a 65 Mustang fastback and I had a 66 Coup. Now we have Hondas.

I love Mark Harmon. Yeah, maybe it's a little creepy that he was People's Sexiest Man Alive the year I was born.

I'm just a kid.

I'm out of school early because I'm helping Alan and Nikki move back in when they get back. Just wanted to say that I'm amazed at how many people don't have any love for their country, but mainly kids my age. Every day before lunch the principal comes over the speakers for announcements and to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Every day there are always a few students that don't even get up out of their chair, much less acknowledge whats going on. They don't realize that they live in a free country that offers them the choice to stand or sit. The option to remain silent or speak their opinion. The option to believe in whatever religion they want to (or lack of). Today, on September 11th, 10 or more students didn't even bother getting up. Soon I will be serving this country. Even if it means serving for the people that say that war is unnecessary, that we need to make friends with all other countries, that we need to get out of the Iraq and every soldier's favorite- "We are going nowhere in the war." Have these people been there? Gained military intel of what the military is actually doing? Do they know about the terrorists we are capturing and putting away and all the other progress we are making? All they see here in the states is what the media gives them. I'm only a kid to most people, but I am also patriot, and an American. A lot of other people can get into the politics and talk more intelligently than a 16 year old like me can, but all I know is, I love this country.
  • soberjoenpaca
That was very well said Josh and I see it with adults as well. If those individuals really understood how it is to leave other countries that don't have our freedoms, they might change their tune. Have fun moving ........xoxoxoxox

Got here from his page. I 'know' your dad & mom too. Ben is my son. OK, the ento is going to be longer than the actual comment...
You are wise beyond your years 'grasshopper' (ask your dad or mom, if you do not know).
I am not surprised you have the insight you do. A 'strange' woman from oHIo is proud of you!

While it was interesting to be 'that family' yesterday. Once we were all dressed in our patriotic and gator gear, I was most proud to be an American. While it was the Gator hats that got our picture taken from a college kid whose best friend is a 'gator nut'. He said he's be excited to see our quad of UF fans.

Yes, I had heard that. Reloading components are difficult to get. I just happened by Bass Pro Shops and found one brick of 1000 pistol primers. I grabbed it. Fortunately when Wal Mart was selling 40 round boxes of .223 for 8 dollars, I stocked up. That same box is now selling for 20. Being a reloader I have a pretty good supply of pistol ammo.

Oh yes, you must have a good scale. Then there are the slow and fast burning powers. For instance 296 is a slow burner. You could take a .357 mag case fill in to the brim, compress it and it won't blow the gun. But try that with Bullseye powder, a fast burner, and you end up with a destroyed gun. I use both the slow and fast burners depending on what I want to accomplish. And in 34 years of reloading thousands of rounds from pistol .380 to rifle .338 Winchester Magnum, I've never blown a gun yet.

Lets not let Josh ever workout or eat normal food again.

I think thats what they said when they took out my wisdom teeth. This morning I woke up with swelling. "Thats not supposed to be there. I'm pretty sure of it." I thought. I went to mom, and she called Dr. Slott. We went into the office (instead of school) and walked back to that tan, reclining chair that I've had unfortunate encounters with. Then they said I had an infection. Awesome. More antibiotics. Then I had to go take an x-ray, and they still said I just needed antibiotics. That's when the Yankee (Dr. Slott) came in and took a look. He said he was going to do something and all I knew was he was talking while looking through an assortment of sharp objects. Before I knew it I had the nasty bubblegum scented laughing gas mask on me. That stuff does not work for me. It only did one thing- I can't ever chew bubblegum again because I'll associate it with that place. So, I'm swollen again, only on one side. Forget what I said about doing a dizzy bat run into the woods a couple posts ago. Now I think I'd rather jump into a pool than go back there. But not any pool - A pool filled with Hillary Clinton clones. And they all want to get to know me.

Hahahahahaha JOSH you are the best. I'm so sorry your life has sucked the past couple of weeks. I love you bro!

In my early 20s I had two of my WT pulled at the same time. Couldn't open my mouth for three days. Several years later I had the other two pulled one at a time. That went a whole lot better.

awww... I still have my teeth and my wisdom so I cannot sympathize. I have had a mole cut off my neck that was supposedly numbed. That hurt really badly. As did the sty that I had to have drained. When the Dr. says, you're not going to feel any pain, just some slight pressure, that would be the time to run. When they drained my sty they said, if it hurts just say so and we'll stop. That was a big fat lie too. They just kept on digging. *shudders*
