Busy, busy
Well, the last several weeks have been very busy.
Paul has been taking two graduate courses this semester. At his current pace, he will finish his Master's of Public Administration in December of 2008. After finishing a take home final this weekend, he will have a slight break for about a week, then he has a class during WKU's May term and an online course in July. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting bright.....
Amy officially starts her new job in the WKU Honors Program on Monday. She did go in for a few hours this past Thursday (her last day at the law office was Wednesday) to get some things organized in her office. She is very excited about the opportunity. She will be spending part of the weekend baking some snacks for the Honors Program students to munch on during finals week.
And of course, many of you are aware of the new puppy, Lilly. It has been very interesting to observe the similarities and the differences between her and Neeko. For example, they both like feet and feet-related items (socks, mainly). But Lilly is much more vocal. She doesn't seem to be as independent as Neeko. If one of us leaves the room (but the other one stays), she will whine. She's only 10 weeks old right now so it will be interesting to see how her personality progresses.

We hope all of you are doing well!

I am so happy for you two!! The dogs are simply precious!!! And for your info, on the HGTV website, you can get tips for dogs in the yard under Paul James' show...something gardening; unfortunately I can't remember the exact title. But I thought of y'all. I sure wish you two the best in your classes and new job and new puppy training!!!!! Have a great day. XOXO
Wedding Pictures
So, for several reasons we have been going through our wedding pictures the last couple of days. Here are a few of Paul's favorites, posted in a gallery.

nopeI don't think we even have that capability! :)
Quick update
Things are going well in Bowling Green. Paul started back to grad school this semester. He changed his program to a Master's in Public Administration and he will finish his coursework in Summer 2008, Lord willing.
Amy has had some very successful experiments in the kitchen. She put together a crock pot spaghetti sauce that is fantastic and she has made focaccia on a couple of different occasions that was also phenomenal (just ask him). Amy gets her love of cooking from her mom's side of the family.
Neeko is getting big. He's almost 12 pounds now! He had his first experience with snow this week as it has snowed overnight a couple times. You know how in cartoons when someone falls into a snow bank and they stick their heads up and they have a beard made of snow? Well when Paul took him out the other morning and he was sniffing around, Paul called him and when he lifted his head to loo, there was snow stuck all in the fur around his mouth! We are pretty confident that he likes snow because as it starts to melt off, he goes straight for the patches where it has not melted and sniffs around.
We hope all of you are well. It has been very nice, in recent weeks, to see some of you whom we haven't seen in a while.

Well, the dog has more interesting, reportable happenings in his life right now. I mean, the first time you see snow is a big deal! :-)

Should we tell them, babe?
Six months
Well, she is exactly right....Sunday will be 6 months. And because the next few days will be so hectic, I thought I'd write a quick post to update everyone.
Shortly before the wedding we purchased a house and we have been working on various projects to get it like we want it. However, I am told that when you are a homeowner there is always some kind of "project" on which to work and that is definitely the case.
We got a puppy. But most of you probably already knew that (we've mentioned him once or twice). He's been a lot of fun and we enjoy having him around.
We have done a lot of traveling together, going to exotic locations such as Dickson (TN), Providence (RI), New Jersey, and Cullman (AL). On our "inter-birthday weekend" (my birthday is October 8 and Amy's is October 18; this means there will always be a weekend between our birthdays, so we are going to try to do something special on those weekends) we went to a state resort in Land Between the Lakes (KY) and stayed in a little cottage, had a little birthday cake, and came within 12 feet of an elk.
We have laughed together, cried together, and prayed together. Laughing, crying, and praying are so much easier and better when you have someone with whom to share those moments.
God has greatly blessed me with a wonderful woman. She reminds me daily of her love for God and for me. I can't imagine my life without her. I pray that I will continue to grow into the type of husband and leader that God would have me to be.
All of you out there in Pleo-land be safe if you are traveling this weekend.
