So I haven't written for many many moons.
Here's a quickie of the highlights:
-Yes my life is still consumed by Nursing school. I still love every minute of it!!
-I am still working nights as a Nurse's Tech at the Medical Center occasionally (had to cut WAY back on hours due to school)
-I'm having a good time organizing events, speakers, donations and volunteer work as the Activities director for the WKU chapter of the Kentucky Association for Nursing Students
-I cannot wait to do my volunteer time out at Camp Courageous Kids on Halloween (an amazing camp for children with severe diseases or disabilities and their families)
-Still is Bowling Green, living with my awesome little bro and having a blast!
-My sister is getting married next month and my Dad will be leaving for Iraq. Please pray for them both!
- and the big exciting news:
I will be getting married next year!
Michael and I are engaged to be married as soon as I finish Nursing school and my dad gets back from over seas. Right now we are planning to be married somewhere in or near my hometown in CA around end of July, but we have nothing more definite than that right now.
well that's the news! love to you all!

The reference above will only be understood by the WoW and Youtube fans.
It serves to introduce my announcement that yes,I, as a responsible independent hard working member of society, have decided to join ranks with the proud, noble and often antisocial otherworldly devotees of WORLD of WARCRAFT.
So far.....I love it!!
I have wondered so long what all the hype was about so I joined and then I went "Oh, THAT'S why"
My boyfriend suggested I try it out and see if I like it. It has been a great solution for a long distance relationship. We talk to each other online while we spend time playing a rad game together (well I get to enjoy it more than he does, we teamed up while I try to gain experience and he keeps the bad dudes off my back....sneaky murlocs!)
World of Warcraft: making long distance relationships better, who'd have thought?

In other news, I'm still adjusting to working nights at the hospital it is near impossible to get on a regular eating/sleeping/maintaining sanity routine with every other day spent sleeping during daylight hours. The job is still an amazing experience, the 12 hours shifts fly by so fast I barely have time to get tired! It is hard to see people who are in pain and frustrated at being so helpless and embarrassed that they need help to toilet. It really keeps you in your place knowing that it could be you one day, make sure to treat these people with the humanity and respect that you feel you would deserve!
I am blessed with health and I take it for granted. I am blessed with a happy wonderful life and wholesome friends and a loving family so much so that in my ignorant contentment I have trouble fully comprehending the breadth and width and height to with God loved me enough to give me these things.
I am Thankful

So I started work at the Medical Center as a "Student Nurse Registry". Really I'm a tech, we do the same job but I think that they change the name as an excuse to not give us the super awesome benefits that a Part/full timer gets. We still get a sweet deal: work as much or as little as you want whenever you want. but each shift is 12 hours and you must work 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
I LOVE THIS JOB!
I also found out that I am not squeemish when it comes to blood, urnine, feces or vomit!! (all of which I have encountered in my first few days of work)
I have been given an amazing opportunities to help people and I get to work with some really zaney people while I'm at it. I'm learning so much! I can't wait for this next year to finish up Nursing school . It really is an amazing career so far!!
Well, Dad is out in 'Tucky for a visit with Evan and I so I gotta run and head out maybe to Jackson's Orchard for some Home made honey and jam!!!

This is a question geared to the people who grew up like me...in the DISNEY generation. I grew up idolizing those perfect Disney princesses. Then I noticed all these quizzes going around like: "Find out which Harry Potter/Pirates of the Carribean/popular movie series character you are!"
I found myself succumbing to the fad of "Discovering which Disney Princess I was!" I also realized that I answered the questions that I thought would gear me in the direction of whichever character I thought I was most like, and not answering the questions as honestly. As cheesy/fun as those quizzes are I find myself wondering why I feel I should be that character. Why do I idealize that one character? So humor me!
My question is this:
What Disney Prince/Princess/Character do you think YOU are, and what is it about that character do you see in yourself?
Studying for the nursing program is only a cover story! In reality, I have spent the last several months running an undercover operation from my bedroom closet, involving the illegal trafficking of Siamese Gryphons. (Note to self: PLEASE remember to put down NEWSPAPER next time. Mythical creatures are messy!)
Unfortunately, I believe the Bowling Green Police Department is on to me! (clever devils that they are)
In anticipation of the forthcoming raid on my apartment, I am dumping my contraband in the nearby Barren River, and re-painting, re-carpeting, and re-upholstering everything. I will then cut off ALL communication with the outside world and feign insanity. That way NO ONE will EVER suspect my double life.
So if I act a little...shifty...next time you see me, or if you don't hear from me for the next several weeks, you will know why.
