Long time coming
I know friends that this was supposed to help us stay in touch and I feel about as inadequate now as I do when I receive 443 Christmas cards and still wasn't able to get any sent out. To the three people who haven't quit checking to see if I was ever going to update - I'll try to be brief.
We are well settled in Tampa now, with Adam still loving his job at two good schools. We moved into a great little house in Temple Terrace right before Christmas. We had a wonderful experience living with my parents and it is so cool to see how much Walker bonded with them in that time. We are officially worshipping at Henderson Blvd. and glad to be fed and guided by attentive shepherds - half of whom are related to me, but that's besides the point. We are glad to be plugged in and getting to work with God's people there again.
Walker is 21 months old now and acting like a little boy more than a baby. He is very entertaining and tries to talk constantly. I would be so sad about his growing up if baby #2 were not a constant reminder that I need Walker to be more independent. We got a great deal on furniture from good old Dicus at FC and Walker is loving his big boy bedroom. This weekend we are trying to get the nursery really set up since my due date is four short weeks away!
I am at the point of very restless sleep which is why I finally got around to posting again - you can't really vacuum at 2am when your whole family is trying to sleep. It seems like the Lord would have planned for the end of your pregnancy to be very restful since we all know what is coming - but I keep telling myself that God must need prayer warriors every night from 2-4 so He keeps me awake and talking. I figure that is a better use of my time than on-line shopping - have you discovered site-to store shipping yet - it will change your life.
Okay - enough for now. Maybe I'll get in a few posts before this baby is born. Hope that we get to see many old friends during lectures next week!

I can't believe your due date is so close! I was wondering about you the other day when I passed by your name on my friends list. I wish I could be down for lectures... my dad is speaking - I believe on Tuesday - check him out if you get a chance. Walker and Kayden are only a few months apart. They grow up too fast sometimes and reminds me that she's more of a toddler. Congrats on baby #2 - I can't wait to see pictures :-) -
Good to hear from you, and glad you all are doing well. I know how great it is to move "home". Don't you just love for your kids to know their grandparents? Only one more month? The countdown has started! Hope things go well!! -
So glad you are doing well! Can't wait to meet baby #2! -
LOL. I wouldn't even WANT to vaccum in the middle of the night! :) My grandma always said at the end of your pregnancy when you couldn't sleep it was God getting you ready for the sleepless nights ahead. I always thought that was a cute way to look at it. I'm sorry I missed you on your birthday but hope it was great. I can't believe how soon baby #2 will be here. I'm so excited for you guys! I will try and call and check on you again soon. Have SO much fun at lectures. Wish I was coming. Maybe next year? But Ryan would rather come down for Disney not our reunion! :( Love you! -
Hey, Amanda! (This is Shelley (Whobrey) Quillian) Glad things are going well for you. Were you at Bonnie Brae Park with Walker yesterday (1/29). I though it was you, but wasn't sure. -
Good to hear you guys are well. Definitely need to see up to date pictures of Walker. -
Didn't you stay up all night and make a dress right before Walker was born. Boy, I miss having you down the hill.... -
Glad to hear you guys are doing well. Good luck with baby #2. Word of warning: According to my mom, when my little brother was born I was so excited to have someone to play with that I would pick him up by the foot and drag him around with me. You might want to think about greasing your baby's feet. Or padding any stairs - either way. -
i totally heard your voice speaking as i read this blog. i miss you guys more than you know, but i'm so glad things are well down there! oh, we are starting the sunday singing practice again soon!!! -
Yep, we don't live to far away. We live in Seminole Heights (I275 and Hillsborough Ave.) It takes me about 15 minutes to get over there. My boys are 3 and 9 months. Glad you are back in Tampa. I am sure your parents are very happy! Please tell them Steve and I said hello. -
So glad to hear that everything is going well for you guys. We had some visitors a while back that was from that area and they knew you and Adam. Sorry, I can't remember their names right off.....hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Take care! ♥ -
I didn't realize you were so close to delivering that baby!! I'm glad you guys are doing well, and I'm looking forward to hearing about the birth!! -
Oh yea! I'm so glad to read a post from you! I'm very happy that things are going well. Where is your house? Are you close to Bonny? Is the new baby a boy or a girl? Have you picked out a name yet? -
If I haven't told you yet, congrats on the new addition to the Olson family! I'm excited to hear about all the updates to your life! Sounds like things are going great!
