Christmas, really?

When does the season start for you (if you do the season :-)?

For weeks now the stores are all bedecked. I've seen two homes here already fully arrayed, trees and all.

Traditionally, we don't decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. I'm just curious as to what others do...

I don't start getting our decorations out until sometime after Thanksgiving. The tree goes up about 2 weeks before Christmas. That said, we start listening to Christmas music in October. Not all the time, but every now and again.

Day after Thanksgving too. Don't want to take away from the VERY important holiday of Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving has always been our BIG holiday. Definitely no x-mas decorations till after that. The last couple of years we haven't done much at all -- but then we don't have any little ones around to decorate for!

after Thanksgiving , though I've been known to put them up a few days before Thanksgiving because we go out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend. This year, I will just wait until after we return probably.

I am already listening to a local radio station that has already begun to play Christmas music 24/7. I love it. Listen when I drive, online while I'm at work and at night when I go to sleep. I'm amazed that working part-time at Kmart has not squashed the Christmas spirit. The people are downright animals in the toy department. It's disgusting.

We don't put our tree up or any decorations till December sometime. It just happens that way, no specific reason really.

I loved it. I still got up at the same time I usually do, but it did give me an extra hour to get dinner in the slow cooker and have some coffee! I love falling back (daylight savings time).

Thank you for all the feedback. And thank you for pointing out the sentence. I changed the wording, and forgot to reread it. The black and white pictures are in black and white because they were all taken in different rooms, and are a riot of various clashing colours. I wanted them to all look the same for that page.
