a church in or near Ft. Jackson Army base in Columbia, SC. My sister and her husband will be there in the coming weeks as he is graduating from basic training. Please keep them in your prayers as the family is reunited and they make a move to Ft. Eustace (sp?), VA.

My grampie had a heart attack on Sunday while on the way back from a trip. He made it to one of the best hospitals in the state where he had emergency surgery during the night and into Monday morning. The quadruple bypass went well, but he is critical for the next 48 hours. He is having respiratory problems and will probably be in the ICU for awhile. The road to recovery is a long one. Please pray that he can have a speedy recovery and maybe this event will open his heart to hear that words that my immediate family has been mentioning for years.
Times like this always make me wonder exactly what role God has in circumstances working out for the best. I've seen it in my own life as well as many stories that others have shared. As I sit here typing this I can hear Tyler's favorite song playing while he is asleep...Our God is an awesome God! He truly is!
UPDATE 3/4 am: He might get his breathing tube out today if all is well.

It's been awhile since I updated with actual things that are going on around here, so here we go:
The end of the year trip to see my family was great. They are doing well, except for the horrible economy in MI. It is getting extremely difficult for them to find work, so please pray. My sister's family is doing great! Thanks for all those prayers. Her husband joined the army and is at basic in SC. The family will join him in VA at the beginning of April and they are all very excited for the change.
Though all that traveling was fun, it is nice to be back home and in a routine!
Tyler has already made the spring ahead time change in his mind so we are now happily (NOT)waking up at 6 am again. Luckily, I have plenty of things to do around the house till the sun comes up:-(! I would just rather be in 'my cozy bed' as Tyler would say. Oh well, who needs sleep! He is a big (as in 50#) boy and progressing more every day. He was at one time scared of heights, but he may be conquering some of that fear lately. A few months ago his Nana taught him the entire 23rd psalm, which he is still saying from memory. It is so sweet and innocent that it makes me cry almost every time. He has added several more verses to his memory as well. His new line of questioning is Why, why, why. Sometimes coming up with an answer to satisfy a 4-yr old is hard. I'm sure it's only going to get harder:-)
The clinic is crazy busy all the time and it is nice to be able to help out whenever. I love that my job doesn't even feel like a job! It is almost gardening time again and I am ready...potatoes and onions go in next week along with a few other things. The weather has inspired me! It has also inspired me to get the horses ready to ride. We are already planning some fun camping trips with the horses. Anyone want to ride? Tyler loves to ride too.
Speaking of getting ready...jekeshay and I are getting ready to run another half marathon the end of March. Until last week, training was going well. Flu, wedding traveling and a loss in her family slowed us a bit, but we are sure to get back on track after things settle. On a sad note, my running buddy will be moving this summer:-(...so, I am going to have to recruit one of you:-o! Any voluteers?
Thanks to Mrs. cherrywinkleberry my Pampered Chef year has started with a bang! Who has ever heard of getting flown to your party-so fun! We are looking for a good home for a friendly Boston Terrier that is currently staying at our clinic. We aren't sure of his age, but he seems in good health. I'll try to get a pic and post it tomorrow.

it seems i'll be working tonight instead. Maybe later in the week.
And now Tyler is sick. Will I ever get out of the house?
