I have always said that music is the international language, I have no idea what the Chinese scribble is but I do know what Holst's Jupiter movement from the planets conveys to me. Or the glorious beginning of Pictures at an exhibition by Mussorgsky. Even the infamous 1812 overture by Tchaikovsky, which we are using for our second piece in marching this year. I love it all
O and go to the link above this for the Jupiter recording...IT IS SPECTACULAR! YO-YO MA is directing!!
Music is what fills by veins and communicates and breaks down the beariers. Music is a gift from GOD and it speaks to us no matter who we are.
not much right now just a few thoughts, more to come later.
Mr. Fairchild came to C.S. for a gospel meeting and in one of his lessons he talked about telling people that you love them because you if you dont do it now, you dont know that you can do it later. This is true and so I want to tell you.. I admire you. You have been an encouragement to me and have helped me with so much. Your wisdom truly is beyond your years and I just wanted to tell you you're amazing and you light up my life. I love you friend.
HEY! I'M BACK ON PLEONAST! WHOO HOO!!! SORRY I WASN'T RESPONDING TO YOUR TEXTS I WAS CRAMMING FOR FINALS BUT NOW I'M HOME SO YOU CAN TEXT ALL YOU WANT!!!! LOL
School...it is finally back. At least in the sense that we can feel it weighing down on us like a witch with stones atop her chest during the Salem witch trials. I think for the class of 2008, we have come to finally understand a lot of what we have gone through, especially being Christians, that is followers of Christ and not just hypocrites. We exquisitely, and painfully know why they are called the wonder years, because we wonder where they went. I personally have mixed feelings about this year, besides the whole choosing of a college before Christmas break, we also know that school, though a drudgery and a thorn in our side has also been our shelter from the world of getting a job and working a 50+ hour week. Mixed feelings that I don't want this experience to end but that I am as anxious as a reindeer to eat innocent baby seals. I have already seen many of my friends move away to college, and some stay. I commend both, but both have also done something that we seniors must do in approximately one years time, Lord willing. I say all this to summarize the fact that though we can keep a child's heart, Jesus says to do this "Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:4 We must grow up like Paul wrote to Corinth in 1st Corinthians 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able" we must be able to handle the BIG issues. I leave you with this familiar verse.
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them"Ecclesiastes 12:1

We better see each other at a comp! Do you know which one's you're going to this year? We have Carrollton on Oct 6, Plano East on the 13, and Ducanville on the 3rd of Nov..
just read your last post..good thought. but to remain forever or to endure silence forever would only be detrimental to your spiritual growth. and maybe your sanity
I have always tried to impersonate the thinker, and by doing so must earnestly sit in silence at times as to think. I find this to be a daunting task as silence rings louder than any sound known to man. I mean to sit down and truly hear silence is cruel and unusual punishment, because of the sounds you want to hear or think you might hear you begin to imagine sounds all about you. The loudest answer is a silent one, when on the phone or directly speaking to someone, if they do not answer we think something is amiss or wrong. Simon and Garfunkel had it irrefutably correct whilst singing the song "The Sound of Silence". Sometime we seem to slip in and out of this world in our dreams, almost like they are real, this life seems to be a dream. I love the philosophical way to look at it, if I am asleep and am dreaming of being a UNICORN , then am I actually a UNICORN dreaming of being a human? Ah the questions posed in this world...
Ecclesiastes 3:7 "A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak"
--that one guy--
Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God..."
P.S. Could someone show me how to link to someones name again...sorry
...well, if you really want to know if you are either a human dreaming you're a unicorn, or a unicorn dreaming your a human, you must kill yourself! Then, if you really are a unicorn, you'll wake up, because the dream will have ended!!! Unfortunately, there is know way to revive you if you really are a human
hey can you do me a favor? can you send me all the lyrics for "HOCHDORF"? its a treat i'm working on, hehe, and i need all of you guys' lyrics. thanks!
Ok...sooo we are going to play a game called WORD ASSOCIATION. The basics of the game are as follows. I will say something at the end of this entry, the first person to comment must comment what he or she thinks of first when seeing the initial word or phrase. The second person to comment must use the word given by the first and think of whatever comes first...make sense?
well here we go
the phrase is "Penguin Guano Squeegy Holster"
--that one guy--
P.S. Keep this going tell friends about it....I want it big...associate words randomly, just whatever comes to your mind first when seeing the word left in the comment before you.
I THINK IT IS CLEAR UNICORN HAS WON!!! *shakes head for reindeer losers* that is ok though...you reindeer people can redeem yourself if you would like. *cough* Ally *cough* Bella *cough*
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.
dude unicorns. cuz they talk to magical leopleurodons, they shoot lasers, and can morph into unicorn whales. and your phrase makketh me think of purple monkey dishwashers.
this is sad, michael, how many people you have lured over to the dark side of unicorns. Bella and I have our work cut out for us, but we are not afraid of the challenge.
"I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life." "11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Philippians 4:11
