Loss from Lewisburg

A local veterinarian, Victor Wakefield died yesterday. I don't know many details, but many here are in shock at this news. I know that he had broken his arm and required extensive surgery a few weeks ago, but I don't know if that had anything to do with his death. Many prayers go out to the Wakefield family.

That is very sad. I knew Victor when he was growing up.

I worked for his brother, Ray, for a few years and we bought our house from him. I didn't really know Victor that well.

I heard that he had a blood clot in his brain as a result of the latest surgery to remove the plate from his arm/shoulder.

Thanks for the name of the teacher. It is not who Joan was thinking that it was.

Oh, sorry, I don't check in here much. We're all doing well. I guess you know about Bobby's health problems. If you didn't, 3 years ago, he had heart bypass (6 of them) surgery. He survived the surgery, only to suffer a major stroke 2 days later. It was a long hard road for all of us, but he's pretty well recovered. I have a website at http://members.tripod.com/needer-ivil/familyphotoalbum/ if you'd like to take a look. There is a link on Bobby's page where I blogged about some of the things he was going through, and updates. I've been reading the things you've been going through with your family, too. Wow, what an ordeal. I am really impressed at your optimism, and that of your entire family, even when things get really tough. That little Sandlyn is one tough cookie, eh? Give her a big hug from me. Hope to hear from you again.

Yes, notes are fun! They make an even better keepsake than the medicine bottle full of bloody teeth!! :)
