New phone, recent happenings

Gotta new number, 907-250-6525. Do call or leave a text so I can remember to add you into my contacts. My new phone has some upgraded texting abilities, maybe now I won't text people like I'm in the stone ages (aka 2004).

So in other news, the volcano (Mt Redoubt) erupted finally, and has errupted 6-7 times over the last several days. I reccomend googling the AVO webesite (Alaska Volcano Observation) for some cool volcano photos and geology information. Yesterday we experienced ash-fall for the first time. It's like... having a beach dropped on your head. Kinda. I scooped up a little bag of ash as a keep-sake. Yeah, I know, I'm a geek. Whatever.

Really starting to get into Dispatch. A friend at work introduced me a few months ago to thier music. Even though they've long since broken up, they produced some excellent tunes while they were still together. They sound similar to Sublime without the profanity/drug accessories.

    I'm hoping it doesn't decide to erupt some more while we're up there. It might hinder our getting out to hike or whatever. Though it might also provide some interesting photo opportunities.... =)
