so i am a brand spankin new north carolinian.

here's the deal:
we came for a wk long vacation to nc and instead of heading back home w/the rest of mi familia, my parents decide to just leave me here. yes, it was on purpose! however, i have no clue as to what changed my dad's mind. but that's just the way God rolls.
anywho......
its a bittersweet feeling i have right now. i'm ecstatic to be here! but i am missing my fam/friends and a little stressed w/how quickly it happend. but it hasn't even been a week yet, so i've still got (Lw) plenty of time to settle in.

outside of that deal nothing much else new. same hair style, same eye color, same singleness. ITS ALL GOOD.

where does your motivation come from?

mine is definatly from music. i can usually get enough energy to do just abt anything if i listen to the right song. singing is also the best part of worship service for me. anywho, lately i've been lacking in the motivation area. i've been praying abt it b/c i've really let myself go. i haven't been running, practicing, or trying new things. idk its kinda lame but maybe i just need a new way to get motivated. or maybe new songs.

other than that, things are going well. especially w/baby sophia! that little girl has the whole family wrapped around her chubby finger. :o)

Dude!!!! i totally agree with the music thing!!!!!!!!!! both from Guitar and Piano !!!!! then just getting together with friends and singing like a quartet!

i know what you mean about the geting motivated part. i feel like i just have so much stuff on my plate that things like working out and reading my Bible daily seem to get pushed out of the picture. i hate it so much. i'll make a deal with you, i'll pray for your motivation if you'll pay for me. :)

yeah I love music and it does get me going but sometimes its just knowing I need to do it nags at me till I cna't stand it anymore then I finally do it. Baby Sophia is too cute and she should have everyone wrapped around her cubby fingers! I miss you!!!

Just take a breather. It all goes in cycles...at least for me it does. ;) I LOVE music!!! It does the same thing for me too!! It makes such a HUGE` difference when your worshipping with others who are singing from their hearts and really into it-meaning it-compared to *blah* singing-where it's hard to even keep the song going. I think services aren't only meant for honoring God but to also uplift us and make us stronger. A balance between the two. Ya know? :)

My motivation use to come from music as well but it shifted to to personal life and I must say I has been an incredible move. When I'm in a position like you, I ususally try anything and everything and go anywhere. keep them options open!

hi i'm josie tobias with your n4god news update....

* finally have the actual id for my license!

* my parents allowed me to drive from san antonio to austin(abt an hr drive) unaccompanied...kinda lame but a big deal to me ;o)

* i wrote my first lyrics today. yay! i havent put any guitar music to it yet, but i do have a remix. (a sort of beastie boys gone christian girl.)

* i got a job at THE GAP. wooottttiiiwwwooooo!
super excited abt working.

Oh Josie, I meant to tell you yesterday when I was talking to you - At the football game on Monday night, the dance tema did this little jig before the game started and it was like 3 or 4 gangster songs put together into one and one of the songs was "Tat it up"!!!
