You know I'll keep you! Hope Ethan is liking school. You know they closed my building, and you know how I felt about my school. I am lost without my boss/friend. It's getting better; and, Lord willing, I'll get to see her over the weekend.

I LOVE The lego castle. It looks like a lot of work. I agree with her. There are advantages of both, but it really does pay to be invloved in the public schools. You can help other kids too and you can help form policies.

Ethan will have an adjustment, but he'll be fine. We've been more involved w/ our school here than we were in VA. We're happy with the smaller size b/c we've quickly gotten to know most of the teachers in the k-8, plus I'm substitute teaching in several schools in the area. This keeps me in the know a bit better and helps me to know what I need to combat when the kids get home. Carie is in HS now and I don't sub in 9-12, yet. So, I have to question more things, however, she comes home and tells me some of the "scary" stuff that happens or that she's found out. Pray w/ Ethan in the mornings, ask him specific questions about his day when he comes home (you won't get much with "how was your day?"). Follow his text books etc. We've had to battle some situation ethics and the kids don't want to go against what the book says b/c they're afraid the teacher will mark it wrong. We've told them that as long as they put the CORRECT answer, we won't be mad at them if they get it "wrong". Perhaps we'll go and talk to that teacher and let them know why the answer is correct, no matter what some man-made textbook is...anyway...off the soapbox, can you tell we've had to do that? BTW, the teachers have never marked their answers wrong. Join the PTO, your voice will keep help them do things that are good for everyone. I wish I could give you a hug. If you guys ever travel up to Joliet, let us know.

Changes...

The longer I live,life seems to bring me more changes. It makes me think of the the song "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac...."Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides, Can I handle the seasons of my life; oh; I don't know...But time makes you bolder, even children get older, and I'm getting older,too..."

BTW, my oldest son actually took me to hear them in concert for my birthday. You rock Glenn!

I FINALLY changed my profile photo. Many of you will notice some changes in the way I look. Yes, I wear contacts now! Feedback is appreciated.

Maybe I will get back to blogging on Pleo. I miss ya'll and blogging can be therapuetic and it is a good way to share the changes in my life.

My heart is lighter and I am rejoicing!

My final report arrived to my genetics team in Cleveland and I do NOT have the dreaded syndrome!!!! WOOT!

My physicians have determined that the two subsequent cancers I contracted were caused from treating the first cancer. I had always suspected this to be the case,but am relieved to have some certainty attached to it all.

Thank you for ALL of your continued prayers and love for me and my family!

I hope this good news will make your day happier!
