Addi's echo was fine. The blood work at Vandy ordered by the Infectious Disease doctor revealed she has Cytomegalovirus (CMV). It is very similar to mono and usually lasts 2-3 weeks. It's not very contagious (mostly through saliva) , and has an incubation period of 3-12 weeks. She is looking and acting much better now. She even has a little pink in her cheeks. Thanks so much for your prayers.

I'm doing fine, all recovered more or less. I spend most of my internet time wasting on facebook these days. I do have a request. Addi has been running a fever for twelve days. Today her color is off, sort of all of her healthy glow is gone. She just looks sallow. The pediatrician doesn't know what is wrong, but her blood work makes it look like a virus. The weird thing is that no one has caught it. She has been around children and adults of all ages and no one else has gotten sick. Tomorrow she goes to Vandy to the cardiologist. They want to do an echo and what ever they need to do to rule out a cardiac cause. She has an appointment with an infectious disease doctor at Vandy on Friday. Please play for our little doll. She has grown into a very sweet little girl.
Are you normally a night owl? (referencing the 3:10AM posting time above)
CMV is very common. Most people have had it at some point in their lives. Some people have no symptoms, and others get very sick, but for the most part, lingering fever and exhaustion are the main symptoms. There is also the possibility of relapse with CMV.
