A First!

Caden lost is first tooth tonight.

Picture to come...

After Joe goes to sleep, I guess I'll be making that tooth pillow I intended to make before his tooth came out. Oops... Oh well, it will get lots more use!!

Flooding at some apartments

Firemen pumping water out of the lot!!

Blue Level Road was flooded last night... it was scary how much water we drove through to get to West End! We found out later that we could have cut through a subdivision and avoided it, but still. Yikes.

We've had issues with water coming in the farthest basement door (the ramp) before - and the carpet getting soaked, maybe up to the first door in the main hall, but nothing much more than that. Having 2 inches at the base of the steps (don't know how much was at the other end) was definitely a HUGE ordeal!

nothing like the building in Tville - all the way up to the 4th step - couldn't get to the basement floor

Diffuser Came Today! (if you haven't heard much about using oils, this won't be very interesting - Sorry!!!)

My Young Living essential oil diffuser came today. Along with some more Lemon Oil to put in my water (YUM) and some bottles of Lavender Oil and Citrus Fresh (also not bad in water). Yay!

Now if only I had something better to diffuse to help little man's coughing that kept us up ALL NIGHT. Poor thing. Peppermint, Thieves, and the ones listed above are the only ones I have available right now. My oil list just keeps growing!!!

So far I want/need:
R.C. or Raven (not sure which is better .. suggestions?)
Peace and Calming
Joy
Oregano

I like both Thieves and Joy; those are the only ones I have. I have bought lavender before (was trying something in E's hair), but I got it at Mustard Seed Market in Akron, not from YL (sorry, Donna! didn't need full-strength for her hair :)). I love oils too! :) Let us know how the diffuser works for you.

Game Board Storage Art

Seriously, Is this not the COOLEST idea?? My only drawback is almost not wanting to get rid of the boxes the games come in.. Anyone else like that??
Game Board Storage Art
You use sticky hooks and zip lock bags for the pieces to the games and attach to the back!

It's not just art, it's PLAYABLE art! And frees up space from all those boxes of board games..
  • kaceyatthebat
My husband and I did that with Scrabble once. We spelled out cool things about family (no kids at that time). It was fun to do and cool looking, too!
    by kaceyatthebat at 04/24/10 9:56PM
  • mrs_worm
Yeah^ But yours wasn't still "playable" right? This version is still playable... and actually probably would get played more often this way I'm thinking.
    by mrs_worm at 04/24/10 10:18PM
  • mrs_worm
But that's a cute idea also about the scrabble..

  • curlie
If it's playable, that's a bonus. No need to store the box! Use it to store something else or recycle it? (Or if you burn things, use it as kindling?)

I think board games would look wonderful on a wall. If you don't want to part with yours, buy some at a garage sale.

I'm always pleased to hear that one of my songs is being used by others. Thanks for letting me know.
