Great Week-end

The meeting is going nice. It's refreshing to hear from the men of the congregation, they seem to personalize their messages! (Nothing against my husband or any other local preacher!)

She and I walked the 1/2 marathon this morning! It was a beautiful day for this event! Nettie has been such an encouragement to me since we moved here, and I'm not sure I would've gotten up those huge hills without her today! Our 16 week training definitely paid off!
A couple of those hills reminded me of the road to heaven! Sometimes you've got to stop and take a few breaths before pressing on, but, never quit or look back!

Got to go and get ready for the meeting tonight! Have a wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow! We've got 2 lessons in the morning, a potluck at the Lincoln's house and then a
singing! what a great way to end the week-end!

In Him,
Sharon

Glad to hear the marathon went so well. I forgot to remind you to put oils in your water to give you extra oxygen! Sounds like a very encouraging meeting as well.

We are still sleeping with the windows open! Sunday, the Broncos game set a record for the hottest temp of a game played, ever. It was 96 in town and over 100 on the field.

Happy Labor Day

Good morning! It's Labor Day and I've been laboring already! The peaches are ready in our area and I have been canning. I love canning! It's soothing, therapeutic, and satisfying to me. I canned 14 pints of spiced peach butter this morning. Yesterday, I canned 6 qts of zucchini salsa! My first time with the salsa. Some friends gave me a pint to try and YUM!!! It's a good way to use up zucchini!
I still have about 75 more lbs of peaches to use. I'm making some new recipes out of the Ball canning book that I've always wanted to try. I'm going to make some peach pickles and chutney! Dennis isn't a big fan of peach jam, he likes berry jams best. : )

We're getting ready to go out for the day and hike. The weather is turning cool. The mornings have been in the 30's already!

Elizabeth is doing well. She only has 11 weeks left of her pregnancy. She's trying hard to focus on spiritual things, so please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Work is going well. The transition of the office staff is completed. Things are going pretty well. There is always a learning curve, but, both ladies are pleasant to work with and that's a plus!
The hospital will be getting a new computer system in the next 12-18 months. I've been asked to be on the Super User Team to help figure out the needs the system will incorporate for out-patient therapy. I'll be attending 8-10 hours of training every month until the system is in place. The Super User Team will help train the rest of the staff.

The half-marathon is only a couple of weeks away. I'm glad it's getting close to the event, as I'm ready to fulfill my commitment to myself, check it off the 'bucket list' and move on! haha! Thanks to Jeannette for her support and perserverence to be my walking buddy! : )

Well, I'm sure that Dennis wants to get going! I've heard almost all the jars seal! One of my favorite sounds is the "POP" those lids make!
God Bless,
Sharon

What a lot of labor you did today :) We have cooler weather as well which was unexpected. I have been trying to declutter and do some of my Aflac reports. No rest for the weary ;)

Your canning spree sounds wonderful! I used to can, and loved the pop, too. How satisfying! Glad E is doing well. I'm excited for you to check that marathon off your list!

Hope all is well with everyone. I haven't been on the computer much lately. I kind of like it that way! Been enjoying company and outside, while we're having nice weather!
Had a singing up in St Maries on Saturday. There is a small congregation of about 8 people that worship there. About 18 of us drove up there and sang for well over an hour. We also brought yummy food to share. We sang in the backyard of one of the members home. It's on the St Joseph's river. It was really fun to watch the children's faces as all size boats went by. One boat was towing a small plane and a sheriff's patrol boat went by with their sirens on! There were also jet skiiers and water skiiers. It was beautiful day weather wise and being with our brethren!

Today I had a root canal. Found a wonderful dentist up here. They have massage chairs and complimentary paraffin hand dipping. That along with some nitrous oxide and ear-phones to listen to music, I may have to say, it was a bearable experience! Not like the last time I had one and I was white knuckling the hand rests! Now, I'm just waiting for feeling to come back to 1/2 my face so I can eat!

My walking is going well. Jeanette and I have been on our walking schedule. One Saturday we walked 10 miles. Last Saturday we walked 8 miles and this Saturday we walk 12 miles! We should be well prepared to walk our 1/2 marathon on Sept 25!
Have a good week!
Sharon

I hope your mouth heals quickly! Did you use some oils for healing?

I used some oils to help with an aching tooth! Thieves worked great until I could get to my dentist!

You make me want a root canal! What great success with your walking! My toe is healing each day, but I think I can go ahead and get started at it - AGAIN!

I heard from Net that the singing went really well. Sounds like a fun time! You didn't go to Bearable Dentistry by chance? I'm just wondering because you used the word "bearable". I used to work there when we lived in Moscow, but we didn't have the perks you mentioned.

Yeah, we have one more big adventure this summer. At the end of this month we are going on a Baltic cruise to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Russia. I can't wait!
Good luck on your 12-mile walk this Saturday!

Perhaps, then, you know that the little building beside the church building is actually a restroom. But I did not know that until after the service. With a barking dog and a startled cat, I did not open the door to see what was inside.

Singing with the Saints

Had a wonderful singing Sunday night! Sang old songs, new songs and some in-between! Services are only an hour, but, we sang for 1 1/2! It was wonderful!
