I think we have a house! Our offer was accepted, and if everything goes according to plan we will close on the house mid-April.

Wow! I haven't updated in forever. The last couple of months have been really busy, so I’ll just summarize and tell you about the good parts (well, mostly) :)

Thanksgiving is like pie-a-palooza every year, and this year did not disappoint! I had a lot of fun over Christmas (even though I had to work most of the holidays) visiting with some of my family and holding my sweet niece! January has practically flown by…let’s see, in January: I quit my job because it was horrible, and let’s just leave it at that, and Ben and I started looking for a house. :)

February started off just flying by as well, but has since slowed down since I got sick last week. I had a lot of fun the weekend of Valentine’s Day visiting with Aaron and Nat and sweet baby Elinor, Katie, and Mike and his friend Brian. That Friday night we had an awesome sushi sibling night, which was a lot of fun. Then on Saturday, we grilled and had lunch with Ben’s parents, grandparents, cousin, and the siblings. Oh, and we had an ice cream cake to celebrate all the February birthdays! It was so tasty! Then Saturday night we went out to dinner with Mike, Brian, and their friends. I also got to go out to dinner with Katie that weekend, and really enjoyed visiting with her while she was in town for TMEA!

For Valentine’s Day, we just stayed home and I cooked dinner. Ben got me a gift certificate to a spa that’s near out apartment, some candy (of course), and some really beautiful flowers. I got him (just take a guess)….an XBOX game.

On my birthday, I went to the spa and had a VERY relaxing morning. Then I went home and just relaxed the rest of the day. Ben took me out to dinner at Outback, which was sooooo amazing, and then out to a movie. I had felt really tired all week and hadn’t really had all that much energy, but I thought it was from being so busy. Nope. I went to the doctor on Saturday only to find out I had Shingles (again). So, I have been eating plenty of chicken soup ( thankyou! ), teddy grahams, and sprite for the last week, and I am finally starting to feel a little better. I had better get well soon though because I am going crazy just sitting in my apartment. Six days of just sitting on the couch will do that to a person!

I worked on Halloween, and I was surprised that I didn't see as many crazies come into the store as I thought I was going to see. I did see one women come in wearing some kind of medieval witch? costume...not really sure what she was trying to be...

This year Ben and I weren't able to go to a Halloween party like we normally do every year so we didn't have to search for good costumes. However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the kitties dressed up and ready to go trick-or-treating. (Don't worry....I won't turn into the crazy cat lady who likes to dress her cats up on a daily basis) Anywho, Baby and Luna were NOT thrilled with the idea of me forcing them into Halloween costumes. Ben just sat there telling them that it was all MY fault and that he would never do that to them. Although that didn't keep him from having a good laugh at their expense. :D

I feel like I have been soooo busy for the last several weeks, and, with the holiday season coming up, things are just going to get crazier!

I am really looking forward to:

~my trip this weekend...I'll be posting lots of pictures when I get back!
~seeing my adorable niece...She's getting so big!
~having an excuse to eat lots of candy at the end of October. Mmmmmm...I like chocolate :D
~eating pie with all of my family. Mmmmmm...I like pie (anyone see a trend here??)
~putting up the Christmas tree! :D I asked Ben what was the earliest day I could put up the Christmas tree...he just shook his head at me.

It's going to be 2010 before I know it, which will bring with it lots of exciting things!
