The saying is true...

Okay, so I've heard the expression, "It scared the pee out of me" all my life, and tonight I can testify that indeed you can have the pee scared right out of you!
Embry got a bike for his fourth birthday last week and has really done well riding up and down our street, so tonight we decided we would let him ride down to the park (in front of our neighborhood) with the rest of us walking along. Embry was doing great, so we let him get ahead of us a little and told him to stop and wait for us at certain landmarks. As he was riding along ahead of us I saw, in slow motion, my sweet little boy, on his cute little bike, with his Buzz Lightyear helmet on, loose control and swerve off the sidewalk, jump the curb and fly right in the middle of the busy road!! This is where the old saying came true, as I screamed and ran to my son. Thanks be to God that the driver of the car was actually watching the road and saw Embry in time to stop. Embry wasn't hurt at all, he cried out of fear (and my screams). When he calmed down he just wanted to continue on to the park like nothing had happened at all, however we had to head back home, because today Mommy was the one who had an accident and had to change pants!!

I'm so thankful he's all right! (and completely astounded that he's already four :)

And have y'all decided about the Greek trip? (or have y'all already been on it?)

Okay, that is funny. Scary, but funny. We had a similar experience with Jake, except Katie didn't wet herself.

Oh that is too funny! Not that Embry almost got hurt, but that you wet your pants....I've heard that after each child you have it gets harder and harder to hold it in no matter the circumstances. I'm glad Embry wasn't hurt! BTW, thanks for the card- that was cute! I never heard, did you and Brant decide to go on vacation by yourselves or is that no longer happening? Have a good day!
