Over a year and a half.... Who still updates these things anyway? :)

It has been a long and challenging summer. As I traveled and met several different people and gone through several new experiences, I have learned more about myself.
5 Things I have learned:
1. I can make myself have energy when I require it.
2. I don't have to be friends with everyone.
3. I DO have limitations on what I can handle.
4. People notice me even when I don't think I matter.
5. I have so much to work on!
I could list so much more, but those seemed to be the big ones on my mind. I have tried to learn to be content in whatever circumstance I find myself facing. It is harder than I thought it was. There is so much to consider when you look at what facits of your life need to be focused on; mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually!
Later until school starts!

Gary Henry is doing a series of lessons on his most famous subject, "Diligently Seeking God." I went to hear him last night and he gave me some great things to think about that I want to share with you.
The act of "seeking God" has usually been considered as a self-centered work. Questions like: "What am I doing to be more of a Christian?" or "How am I doing in my walk with God?" are good questions to ask, but seeking God is not about me!
Seeking God is not just assembling with the saints, Bible Study, prayer, helping people, doctrinal soundness, or active personal evangelism. These are good things to do, but it all depends on the motive behind these actions.
He defined seeking God as "growth in obedience with a desire to love and honor God more EVERY DAY!"
Phil 3:13-14 -- Seeking God is a goal to strive for
Psalm 27:4 -- David had a strong desire to Seek God
Matt 22:27-28 -- Love God = Seeking God
God is seeking those who are seeking Him!

I know, being busy is no excuse, but here i am. I will try to keep up with this for you all. This past week, "sorry" just happened to be my word. Whether playing volleyball or feeling sorry for someone. I went to Dry Creek camp and it was one of the best weeks of the year so far. I met so many amazing people and one of the counselors happened to point out how much I say sorry. Thanks Mike :). So even though it's not the beginning of the year, I am making a resolution to do what I mean to do so that I won't have to be sorry as much.
I am so excited to see what the rest of the summer will bring me. I am so blessed to get to travel to all of these camps and meet so many wonderful, young Christians who get to escape the world for a whole week just to be with other people of like faith. Praise God.

As much as I love traveling, it is so good to be in one place for over a week! I cannot believe all of the places I have been this summer. Here are just a few:
Tampa, FL
Atlanta, GA
Kansas City, MO
Gothenburg (aka MON), NE
COLORADO SPRINGS!!!
Indianapolis, IN
Chicago, IL
St. Louis, MO
Idaho
Nevada
Pendleton, OR
Seattle, WA
and so much more. I am so blessed to have all of these opportunities to travel and meet so many great Christians!
I am so excited to start school. Living off campus has its good and bad points. Good is that I can escape whenever I need to, Bad is that I don't get to se so many people...Oh well.
