At my 43rd Bday that was in July!
My favorite thing to see
My favorite oldest daughter
My favorite youngest daughter and my favorite middle daughter.
Look at those belly freckles!! I love 'em.
I am amazed at how time passes so quickly. Sept 3 already!! The older I get the more I see myself approaching top shelf. What is top shelp... it is that top layer of life. All of the olders are dying one by one and you find yourself approaching that top shelf... the top layer of family, the olders. It is surreal. It makes me so glad that I am a child of God. Who could approach top shelf without that in your pocket. I love where I am. 43 is a great place in life.
Speaking of top shelf.. We spent some time with Bro and Sis Veteto today. Grant and I picked up their meds and delivered them. I am so glad they are letting people help them. I wondered if they would. Our help is just a drop in the bucket as many of our church family have poured love over them these last few weeks. Bro V says living and dying is part of life. It happens to everyone. It will happen to you and for now it is happening to him. He mustered the energy to play a few songs for me today on the fiddle. If you know them, call them or write if you can. The cancer is in the pancreas and liver. That, coupled with his age, will make survival unlikely but hey, I don't doubt God.

Psalm 30:1 "I will extol you, Oh God....
Happy Birthday Libby!!
Never allow anyone to under estimate you... including you... especially you.
Psalm 30:1 I will extol You, Oh Lord, for you have lifted me up...
Whew!! We got Blake on the bus for Ellijay. We spent the week of the 4th with Mike and Melly, my cousin and wife, with their children and nephew, Amanda, Andy, and Brandon. A house of 9. We had a great time. We all went to Hiawassee for the 4th and 5th.
Friday, we spent the day shopping for Blake and preparing her to leave. Melly helped me a great deal. There were so many details. Blake performed her monolog for us, a scene from Driving Ms. Daisy, and sang her talent show peice for us. Her play was great but when she sang, Reed and I loooooked at each other.... like... what?... We had only been getting the weak half hearted performances until that point. Reed said "where did that come from?" It was funny. I was worryed for nothing! I was praying... but I was worrying.
Saturday, we loaded her up and got her to the school to catch the bus by 1. Mike and Mell left for Plant City before 9.
I worked in the garden for 3-4 hours today and my arm is throbbing. So I am signing off.
Keep Blake in your prayers this week as she is away from us with about 30 school friends. Grant and I will not be at MV tomorrow as we are going to Ellijay to have church with B.
