this is certainly not an easy year for us, but we have each other and will make the best of it! thinking of starting a fun new Christmas tradition or two....
apartment is decorated and is warm and Christmas-cozy - you know that feeling?

matt & i are going back to hawaii in the summer!
we are in the process of looking at/purchasing a house!
lots of stuff going on!

first snow on wednesday, hopefully more tomorrow :)

hello everyone,
well i had pretty much planned on dropping off the face of pleonast but i always check up on my friend's blogs, so i thought i might send out an update to anyone and everyone who might be wondering how we are doing.

matt & i are doing very well. we celebrated our first anniversary in june with a trip to orlando, where we did sea world, magic kingdom, cirque du soleil (our favorite!), cocoa beach, downtown disney, etc. it was just a long weekend trip and it was a little hotter that i remembered, and much more tiring and stressful than maui, but overall we had a good time and it was good to get away for a bit and just have some time to ourselves. we celebrated our anniversary with a lovely dinner at the melting pot - a first for both of us!

in regards to our family situation, many of you may not know.....
my parents are in the middle of a divorce and it is heartbreaking, stressful, maddening, and just all around hard for all of us. matt & i especially are having a hard time processing everything that is going on, being newlyweds who are still just getting to know one another. we have had a major amount of stress, heartache, and even financial burden dumped upon us. please, please keep us all in your prayers, especially my parents. if you would like to know more, there are a few things i can share with you. please email me.

summer vacation is not ideal but it has been going well so far and i've had lots of time for art making. i keep a pretty regular update on my artist blog you can check out to see what i've been up to lately.
