This week has had its ups and downs so far, I guess. With Drew working fairly long hours and the dread of him being out of town for the next FOUR weeks, I've been a little down in the dumps. But Daniel and I met some ladies from church for breakfast on Tuesday and Chantel and I are going shopping for a baby shower we're throwing tomorrow, so those are bright spots in my week. :)

That being said, I want to hear everyone else's happy thought/news/quotes.

Sorry Drew will be out of town. I know I am not to happy when Josh goes out of town. Glad you and Chantel had fun shopping for the baby shower! :) Not much new here just hanging out with my girl! Hope you have a GREAT rest of the week!

Unfortunately something came up and I have to babysit for a friend on Friday... :( But Deban and I really enjoyed library time last week and are going to make a habit out of it and would love for you to join us! We meet at Parr Library in Plano off Windhaven and the Dallas North Tollway. It starts at 10:15 on Thursdays!

It's been snowing constantly today here in north Texas! It's so beautiful! Nice, big flakes!

A perfect day to get out to go get Daniel's ears checked, run by the store, and get Daniel locked in the car, right? Please tell me this has happened to you!

Daniel was holding the keys. I loaded him in the car. I loaded the groceries and my purse in the car. I shut the doors. I took the cart to the little cart return place a few steps away. I came back. Daniel had pushed the lock button on the keys. No way to get in. He liked the beeping sound the lock button made, so he kept pushing it, almost like he wanted to bring attention to the situation. I had no choice but to go back in the store and ask for help. The greeter lady who barely spoke English told me to go into the depths of the store and see if I could find something. I refused to leave Daniel in the car alone. Can't you get someone who can help? Luckily, a manager was coming on shift and she took charge. I went to keep Daniel company and the lady brought some man who called 911 and began a snowball fight. Why not, right? The firemen came, Daniel freaked out, they quickly unlocked the doors, and we were on our way. Yeah. Fun. I wasn't ever really panicked or anything, so that makes me happy. I can handle situations calmly! Yay, me! Just a little bit embarrassed is all. This will be a good story to tell for years to come, I guess!

Thanks for listening. It IS kinda funny how things happen.

Meanwhile, I'm just gazing out the window. How is snow so fascinating? Beautiful.

Oh...and the trip to Tampa was nice and warming to my soul. Daniel was a trooper. We were glad to be home and see Daddy, though, too. Back to the daily routine!

:) I'm proud of you for staying calm! I'm not so sure I'd have done the same. It IS a great story to tell already!

Poor thing. I am glad you stayed calm. It is always best to stay calm in those situations. ;) Also, it is good that it is winter and not summer too. :)

It's cold again.

So, it got warm and now it's cold, which means it must be time for an update.

Daniel and I went to the doctor for his 15-month check-up. He's growing beautifully. And he has an ear infection. Boo. Good thing she caught it since we're supposed to get on a plane to Tampa on Sunday! :)

We're excited to go back to Tampa and see our friends. I miss them! This time I want to take more pictures. I feel bad leaving Drew...I know he's miss us, but he's working long hours and we'll be back before he knows it!

Tonight we WILL be taking advantage of the $10 pizza deal at Papa John's! Yummy! It's gonna be a cold weekend, which is a great excuse for cuddling! No complaining here! I wish everyone else a wonderful weekend, too!

It's a Cold One!

Brrr.....it's LITERALLY freezing out there! Good thing we have nowhere we need to go today.

I took the Christmas tree apart and put it in the box ALL BY MYSELF today! Getting some good cleaning done and dinner is on the stove. Chicken noodle soup. This is a good feeling.

This is day four of busy season for Drew. It's going to be a long few months, I think. We got so spoiled having Daddy home over the holidays and now he doesn't get home until 7 or 7:30 (for now). I know it's not any more fun for him, but I guess we'll just have to keep ourselves busy and try to keep distracted.

We're excited for game one of the playoffs on Saturday. Go 'Boys! I hope they make it at least through that game. After beating the Eagles so bad last week, I think we can do it!

Is Glee back yet? Oh, how I miss thee. Anyone else feeling me here?

And, yes, Jake, the Bachelor, is back. My guilty pleasure. It's shaping up to be a good season. If you're a fan and haven't read ihategreenbeans.com, I highly recommend you go check out Lincee's blog NOW. She's a riot and her recaps are really good. I've been following it for the last couple seasons of Bachelor/Bachelorette and I almost just watch the show to be able to read her reactions.

Well, that's enough of a break from cleaning. Just a little bit longer until Daniel is up and ready to play! Have a good rest of the week, everyone!
