Staying Home
Well, we have the sickies again. Blah... I've decided Natalie can watch as much Barney today as she wants. Hopefully it will pass soon. We went over to a friend's house earlier this week, and all of our children were sneezing a little bit. I don't know if the other children are sick, but we could have all passed it around without realizing it. I do hope they aren't, because they have a 2 week old. I know how hard it is to have a newborn sick with a cold. But as sicknesses go, I can't complain. Natalie's running a fever and has a runny nose, but other than that, she's fine. I'm just expecting Lydia to get it in the next day or so. She's already sneezing.
Tell me, is there honestly any reason to drive myself crazy all day keeping Natalie from touching Lydia, sneezing on her, or touching her toys after she wipes her snotty nose? It seems inevitable that they are going to pass germs to each other. I feel like I would run myself ragid if I tried to prevent any contact at all.
Hope everyone is having a good day. We are going to try to get outside and enjoy this nice weather. Some fresh air might make everyone feel better.

Sorry to hear they're under the weather - hope Natalie feels better soon & Lydia (nor anyone else) gets sick! -
I never worry about trying to isolate germs for colds. Stomach bugs, though? Definitely. I hope you guys are all better soon! -
When my oldest sister brought chicken pox home from school she had me and my other sister sit on the couch with her so we'd get it. She said she figured everyone was going to get it anyway and she'd rather deal with 2 weeks of chicken pox then 6 weeks. I kinda feel the same way- they're going to get it anyway, so why bother? -
Oops, I "she" was my mother. -
Give them both plenty of OJ and focus on getting better. Germ spreadage is inevitable. I mean, I can't even stop Abigail from catching everything I get, and I seem to get everything lately.
