Funny Girl

I went to see a friend today at the school where I did my student teaching. I took the girls with me, of course. The teacher I was visiting is a first grade teacher... and boy, Natalie was in her element. I think she could have spent all day there and not have missed me. She colored, played, looked at books. She loved the kids. We were there for about an hour, and when it was time to go, some of them started hugging her goodbye. Then they all stood circled around her like she was some sort of celebrity... she was hugging them all goodbye and waving to them. The kids that weren't in the circle, she would go up to them and hug them goodbye. It was the funniest thing. It's like she had no idea that she was about 4-5 years younger than these kids. I think she's going to love going to school. :)
