Been a long time . . .

For the most part, things are great with me! Singing School in Wilburton was wonderful, as always. Our meeting at Southside was really good and we had a lot of visitors from the community. The ANNUAL SOUTHSIDE SINGING SCHOOL in Silsbee is scheduled for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2009, beginning at 9:00 a.m. As always, we have reserved the Community Center across the street for the women's class and for meals (supplied by the ladies of Southside congregation). As always - THE SCHOOL IS FREE - THERE IS NO CHARGE (not even for meals!) You just can't beat a deal like that!!! I hope to see hundreds of you there!!!!! I think we are having Glenda Schales and Diana Dow to teach the women's class, and Wayne Wise and Steve Garrett to teach the guys. We will be mailing out flyers with all the information in the next week or so.

Things at home are lonely and boring! Things at work are NOT boring, NOT lonely. There are not enough hours in the day or days in the week to get everything done, and in just under a month I will be loosing my MOST WONDERFUL HELPER - Kensi. Seems she wants to get married! Anyway, I'm sure gonna miss her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, gotta go grocery shopping, the dogs want to eat tonight.

Been a long time!

I went back to work part-time in February (since my surgery in November), and went back to full time in March. Now I never have enough time to get everything done. I think I forgot how to manage my time!! I'm off today, Firm holiday, so I'm trying to get some things done I have not had time to do - working on our church directory, grocery shopping, paying bills, you know - all that FUN STUFF. HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE! HAPPY SPRINGTIME!

NO MORE BRACE - YEA!!

I had my 8 week checkup with my back surgeon - everything was great! No more brace - that's the best part!! Doc wanted me to wait 4 more weeks before returning to work, but after much discussion and begging (on my part), he agreed to let me return in 2 weeks - PART TIME. Well, at least I have a job to go back to! What a blessing. My boss has been REALLY understanding, but we both thought I would be back at work after 8 weeks. He is still being very understanding. What a blessing.

I will miss taking a noontime walk with my good friend Becky everyday. She has also been cooking and shopping for me since my surgery in November. Don't know what I would have done without her. What a blessing!

Jody was also a big help to me during my recovery, spending all of his holiday time off with me. What a blessing!

Even with all that I have been through in the past year with my back, I am still truly blessed. God is good.
