Happy 2010

Parying for a healthy and happy new year. 2009 has been a very good year in some important ways. The best is having my SIL obey the gospel and my Shanna coming back to the Lord.
It has been a sad year in so many ways as well. Losing precious grandchildren of old friends and the many soldiers of Christ that have left this world for a better one.
Had a wonderful Holiday visit with all the children, grandchildren and great grandbaby.
May we continue to live in His Grace in the new year.

I too had a wonderful visit with both my children and grandchildren and then was able to travel south and visit with my parents and sister. I am so happy to hear of your SIL. I pray for the same thing for my own. I have one already and another new SIL on April 30. Neither one has obeyed the gospel. Hearing of your cause for celebration always encourages me. Keep my girls in your prayers that their godly influence will work for good on the hearts of their husbands. Have a great 2010.

Happy New Year. We are in Gulf Shores and enjoying the time we have. It was a hard decision to make but we knew if we didn't come this year we probably wouldn't come down again because of different reasons. Have a great 2010

I know you never get on here but I found out that you know Alice Fertig. Her parents lived next door to me growing up. She lived down the street at one time while I was growing up. When her parents died, she moved in their house. I never see her anymore since my parents moved.

My Heart is so Full of Joy

There have not been many days in my life that I have been as filled with joy as I am today. My son in law, James Hodgson, (Shanna's husband) excepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized into Christ last evening at 6:30. He has a lot of studying and learning yet to do but his heart is so filled with wanting to do what is right. Shanna has given her life back to Christ. James said that there was such a hole in his life and he knows that the only way to fill that hole is to sevre the Lord. Please pray for them as they start this wonderful journey.
Jim and I are fine. I just got back from a short trip to the Smokies with dear friends. Looking forward to the holidays when the family will all be together.
I hope everyone is doing well and may we continue to live in His Grace.

What a blessing for your family. I too am praying for my new son- in -law to also accept Christ. My daughter is a good example and he has been coming regularly with her since they married. I pray that her godly example will help turn his heart.

What wonderful news about Shanna and her husband. Yes you were there when I got married. Just a mere child right?

Hello

Hope everyone is doing well. Everything is good with us. Had a wonderful visit with the kids in Orlando in Sept. We went to St. Augustine and visited with great friends. Went to the beach early one morning and watched the sun come up over the ocean and that was awesome. We came back through Savannah, Ga. and I fell in love with it. I love lighthouses so we drove out to Tybee Island to see the two that are there.
Had an eventful trip home from there as it was pouring rain and the car hydroplaned but with God's help we were fine. Just scared.
Leaving for the Smokies the first of the week but have to return on Wed. to go back to work.
Everyone be safe and happy and may we continue to live in His grace.

I vacationed with my sister in 2001 on Tybee Island. We spent a week there. I loved Savannah and the surrounding areas. I want to go back with my husband some day.

The covered bridges are in Parke county Indiana. Get the info from AAA or just google it. It's 50 miles west of Indianapolis. We spent two days on the back roads(like gravel), finding them but had a ball. We chased lighthouses when we went to Maine. We'll have to compare pictures some day.

Hello again

Since some of my good buddies will not use FB, I will try to come here and say hello once in a while. Everything is going well. I am working everyday and loving life. Wish I felt a little better but I guess that comes with age. Sometimes I feel like the "ritus" boys are taking over my body but I just keep on going.
Looking forward to going to Orlando to see the children. Baby Amelia will be two on the 12th. We are leaving Thursday night when I get off work and will be with them until Tuesday morning. Then we are going to St.Augustine to visit with dear friends that live on the beach there. Can't wait for that.Hope all those ole storms stay away. We will return home on Friday so I can go to the UK/Lou game on Saturday.GO KATS!!!!
Of course we are coming up on 9-11 and that always makes me reflect on how lucky we are to still be safe in this country and my prayer is that it continues. We cannot let our guard down!!!!
Also my mother passed away on 9-11-2002. I still miss her everyday even though I feel her with me.
Everyone take care and I hope to hear from you.
May we all continue to live in His Grace.

Well, hello there! Isn't it hard to believe that our loved ones have been gone 7 years already? Yesterday was Steve's birthday and I talked to Mom (Rena) to catch up on things. I love our connection still as I love her so very much.

Have a great trip to Orlando!

I'm gald you came back to Pleo. I hate facebook Can't figure how to get around on it. I was thinking you wouldn't be here for the PB reunion but you will. I have just been off of my computer too long. Got a virus and had to have a face lift on my computer. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Have not been here in forever

Hello to all my friends in Pleo Land. I have not been on here in a very long time. I use facebook most of the time now because it is easier and I get to see pictures of the kids all the time.
I am well and looking forward to going to Fl. to see the kids in just a few weeks.
Hope all are well and happy.
May we all live in His Grace.

Enjoy the game...hoping for a winning season for the Cats. Wish I could attend the UK/Auburn game on October 17th but I have a meeting that starts the next day in Temple Terrace. Sheli will likely be at the game though.
